‘Man Of Steel’ Will Be Converted To IMAX 3D; New Plot Description Revealed

The last two times director Zack Snyder walked into San Diego Comic-Con, he brought the house down with impressive presentations for 300 and Watchmen. Saturday, he returns with the Warner Bros. Superman reboot Man of Steel, a film we’ve yet to see anything official for save for one still image and a logo. Expectations are high that we’ll get to see a bunch of footage and learn some major things about the film however, it seems like Warner Bros. has already started to let the information get out.

An update to the official IMAX site reveals the fairly obvious news that Man of Steel will be in 3D and IMAX. They also have a new plot description. Read it after the jump.

The IMAX release of Man of Steel will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® with proprietary IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The crystal-clear images coupled with IMAX’s customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.

This description is still extremely vague but definitely could be twisted to fit any of several rumored plot lines: Africa, Zod, etc. Also, since Snyder didn’t shoot in IMAX it’ll be a DMR up conversion.

hopefully there is a trailer attached to TDKR. i have my hopes for the film to be good but i also have my doubts, need to see some footage before i can pass any judgment

Ill watch it regular. No 3D conversion i have seen was any good. It be blurry as !! and cant see anything during action scenes.

i believe this movie might not be what we want still in a superman movie. Besides it seems like a movie that is 3d its up being wack or mediocre.
