Lindsay Lohan As Elizabeth Taylor On The Set Of 'Cleopatra' In New Pics From 'Liz And !!'

In between court dates, getting in car accidents, doing photo shoots with Terry Richardson and being accused of theft, Lindsay Lohan actually managed to shoot two movies. Recently, she wrapped production on Paul Schrader's indie "The Canyons," but before that she got the paparazzi in a tizzy on the set of "Liz And !!" and a few promo shots, and the first images from the film itself have dropped, and they are sure to get the chatter started all over again.
In case you forgot, Lohan takes on the role of Elizabeth Taylor in the biopic, and you can't make a movie about that actress without including "Cleopatra." Still regarded as one of the most expensive and tortuous productions of all time, the making of the movie was tabloid manna from heaven, as Taylor and Richard Burton's (played by Grant Bowler) began a torrid affair that spilled out very publicly, and combined with many other factors, caused delays on the film. The movie went well over schedule, taking nearly a full year to shoot. But somehow, this still image makes the sumptuous 20th Century Fox film look pretty cheap. But hey, its Lohan as Taylor as Cleoptra, that is something we suppose. Meanwhile the other pics show Taylor/Burton in happier times, with one more of the actress shielding herself from the cameras. Something Lohan is familiar with.

No word yet on when this will air on Lifetime, but when we find out, we'll be sure to let you know so you can set your DVRs.

Cleopatra is not black. I went to an exhibit at the California Science Center and the rare artifacts and statues show distinct features suggesting she was not a black woman. Maybe I was missing something but her statues and coins show more middle eastern features than african features.
Queen Nefertti posessed more african characteristics than Queen Cleo.

No Cleo was black but not like African dark skin but more so light skin like an Arab....her son was greek due to the father being Julius Caesar

Cleopatra was a Ptolemy. The Ptolemies were Greek. Therefore, Cleopatra was Greek.

There is nothing to "Research". She was part of The Ptolemaic dyn@sty, which was a Macedonian Greek royal family.

I'm not saying you guys are wrong or right, but can you guys point me to anything to back up or validate your claims ???

If you're saying history books aren't credible than what source of information are you guys standing behind that has unquestionable credibility ??

It just seems too convenient to say " Yea forget all those history books , they're wrong, there's real information out there that's 100% credible, legit, unquestionable unlike those books .......... go find it yourself "

I'd be interested in a Historians perspective, because I agree that most of the "history" we're taught all through highschool is horse !!. But from what I've read, she was either mixed, or of different origin than the regular Egyptians. I though she was mixed, because Egyptian pharaohs were known to "marry" outside their race/mix.

Everything I've read says she was a member of Ptolemaic dyn@sty, a royal greek family that ruled Egypt after Alexander the Great died.

I doubt any of them married outside of their race because it's said that they mostly never even married outside of their family. They were a very prejudice tribe like most royal families back then and kept incestuous marriages (brothers marrying sisters, cousins, etc) in order not to taint the royal blood line. They even refused to learn the egyptian language ( except Cleopatra who saw it as a valuable[..]et in ruling the country).

I've read alot of theories of people who try to claim she was black but I've never read anything remotely conclusive, it's just alot of speculation and people trying to theorize off sculptures and statues and referring to the size of her nose, but jews , italians and arabs all have huge noses as well and they're all considered white.
