Jeff Ross 'Batman' Massacre Joke CUT from Roseanne 'Roast'

Jeff Ross 'Batman' Massacre Joke CUT from Roseanne 'Roast'
By rek0nize - 08-06-2012, 04:05 PM - Boxden > The TV and Movie Spot

“Seth, congratulations. This is actually a great night for you ... you haven’t gotten this much attention since you shot all those people in Aurora. ... I’m kidding. You are not like James Holmes. At least he did something in a movie theater that people remember!”

Comedy Central is censoring Jeff Ross ... refusing to air the jokes he made about the "Dark Knight Rises" massacre during this weekend's taping of the "Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne."

After the taping, one of the producers announced that the joke would be cut from the August 12 broadcast.

Ross later admitted he crossed the line -- but told NBC News, "That is what Roasts are about.

Wait was that directed at Seth Green? Because if so, it wouldve been funny if he would've just stopped with saying he looked like the dude.

No he was talking about Seth Green. The whole premise of the joke is that him and that James Holmes have the same color.

Jane Lynch was the Roast Master for this roast. Seth McFarlane wasn't involved in this roast.

Even though the joke is pretty tasteless--that is what roasts are about. They're not supposed to be super friendly.

For me, I don't mind a controversial humor if it's funny.

But, to me, it ain't funny. I get the joke, it just wasn't a very good one.

Because, Chris Benoit isn't permeated into the minds of the general public because of a recent tragedy that is now the largest mass shooting in American history.

I mean, really. How is that even comparable?

honestly, that's what roasts are all about, it's too soon to talk about it till it's not then somebody already beat you to it..

I wanna see what the crowd reaction was [pic] I bet Ross loved it

They've been doing this since the roasts started, that's what it's all about.

But I don't blame Comedy Central for playing it safe and choosing not to offend people to that level
