Hugo Weaving Reprises The Role Of THE MATRIX's 'Agent Smith' In New TV Commercial

Hugo Weaving Reprises The Role Of THE MATRIX's 'Agent Smith' In New TV Commercial
topic by Steve - 04-13-2013, 10:39 AM - Boxden > The TV and Movie Spot

Regardless of how disappointing the two sequels to The Matrix were to some, there's no denying that it was an awful lot of fun seeing Hugo Weaving's villainous 'Agent Smith' back on the big screen. Well, he's now on the small screen in a commercial for GE. Check it out!

Hugo Weaving has made it clear that he didn't exactly enjoy his time working on either the Transformers franchise or Captain America: The First Avenger, but 'Agent Smith' is obviously a role he has no issue with returning to. In the following commercial for GE, the actor once again suits up as The Matrix bad guy in a promo shot by Pineapple Express helmer David Gordon Green.

This TV spot is playing with my damn emotions.

Release a sequel already, I don't care how bad Revelations was

Also I think a lot of people sleep on Agent Smith as a movie villain. Very articulate & masterful.

One of the best movie villains of all time.

Thought he would have been the perfect riddler if Nolan went with that villain in his trilogy.

Get weaving another dope role to smash!!!
