Snow Town and Let the right one in are very good

And to the cuz who posted The Experiment that !! is wild Whitaker's good for them roles there was another film like it its called The Exam its a thriller.

But in general what I think what makes a good horror film might not be the same for others[pic]

Well first thing I think the actions people are more frightening than any monster, vampire, spirits or any of that corny !!. Seven and Zodiac are very scary to me in Seven the whole atmosphere and tone of it, its raining and every scene seems closed in to me. Add that plus the crime scenes looked like something a demon would do to people but its not a demon.

And the second thing is, is it believable regarding the story/plot. Its Fincher again with Zodiac it actually happened in real life. I've seen MSNBC do tv documentaries on the Zodiac k!ller which I've seen so I knew the backstory and history of the murks and what actually happened. But watching Zodiac gave me chills because it happened and he was never caught.

Also this is why I enjoyed Snow Town so much and it got to me because its real and its the actions of a human being who thought he was doing the right thing just like in Seven.

I know most people think horror movies should have those wanna close your eves, jump outta your seat shock value moments but I dont necessarily think so. If you've seen Snow Town the car scene after John drops his buddy off and there sitting in the car...this scene scared the !! out of me...cause he's sitting next to a real life monster.

And the acting in all 3 of these films is top notch especially the actor who played John Bunting in Snow Tow

Not quite the last 7 years but it's on the cusp...

A Tale of two Sisters... (Foreign Film)

Insidious
The Descent 2
Dead Snow (Foreign Film)
Senseless is hit or miss (But it's Netflix selection [pic])
The Ward (Same as Senseless)

Pretty much all i got off top of my head... A Tale of two sisters is probably the best horror movie on Netflix IMO

Yeah I feel you. Ima little more drawn into the "based off real events" horror/thrillers as well.
But I FOX with some gore though! Lol

Here some movies I liked for different reasons.. Most I don't find scary though.

The Sentinel (70's horror, not too scary, but entertaining)
Trick R Treat (mix of stories)
Insidious (Actually scared me with a few parts)
The Caller (good story)
I Saw the Devil (foreign, but crazy movie)
The Others (older ghost movie, but liked it)

Also check out any Masters of Horror they may still have on there, they got some good ones.
