Fox to end 'House' after 8 seasons

Fox will say goodbye to Dr. House at the end of this season.
The network has opted not to order a ninth season of the Hugh Laurie starrer from NBCUniversal's Universal TV unit.

"House" bowed on Fox in 2004 at a time when the network's drama slate was at a low ebb. The medical drama was a slow builder but eventually blossomed into a major tentpole for the network.

In the past two seasons, however, the show's aud has dropped off while its production costs have climbed. The show was almost canceled after last season because of cost concerns, as Universal TV pushed Fox for a higher license fee.

He has to be k!lled. There is no other way that show can end. He's been in rehab and jail and yet found a way to manipulate everyone so he can practice medicine again.

He has to die or else there would be the possibility that he can still manipulate people to get back to where he wants to be.

I think the show declined because they started messing with the cast. I love House (the character) so I could care less about the doctors around him but I bet a lot of people didn't like the new cast members and cuddy leaving.

I think he has to get k!lled, not k!ll himself. Sort of like in the past seasons when he got shot. I was thinking something happens, everyone comes back (those who have left), he's in the hospital and they try to save him and at the end he dies. [pic]

Or everyone tries to find a cure before he dies, and like always, he knows exactly what's wrong and what's the diagnosis to save himself.....but doesn't tell anyone.
