Family Guy- So over it
Ok so i have come to the conclusion that Family Guy is not that funny. Having seen the majority of the episodes numerous times, it seems like cheap humor the more i watch it.

The straw that broke the camels back for me was in the two part episode when stewie kills Lois. In one scene peter is in iraq and keeps saying hes gonna shoot Pat Tillman.... This made me never want to watch family guy again.

Pat Tillman was too good a person to be made into a joke on family guy...

Does anyone else feel the same way?

those jokes seem to go too far imo. The Pat Tilman was a low blow as well. All-in-all i think its a pretty funny show.

the real funny parts to me are the simple stuff. IE

Video inside YouTube - famliy guy stewie farts

Video inside YouTube - Peter Forgets How To Sit Down

Its a funny show but gotten stale over the years. Anyway, can't have comedy w/o any controversy. Most comedy is offensive even if its the simplest thing.

I watch futurama and southpark. Both of these shows to me have a much higher replay value. The southpark with the midget fighting cartmen will never get old. And futurama to me is just a better show but thats just my opinion.

Honestly though i can say i enjoy the parts of family guy that include stewie and brian.
Is it necessary for stewie to be gay, or peter to be legally retarded.

How about when peter smokes crack... thats just stupid. half the things he does are just asinine and pointless.

But i will say that Carter Pewterschmidt is hilarious... when they come to him for 20k for joes legs. He puts the money in a blender and tells them in about an hour hes gonna piss away 20k after he drinks it. Or when he has the dollar on the fishing pole infront of lois and her mother because they are jews.

See I don't like Futurama at all and I like South Park but just like Family Guy sometimes they drag jokes to the ground and beat em to death. It gets annoying to the point its not funny anymore.

Also there's a lot of things in family guy that are not funny at all... its like they're just filling the episodes with garbage... the whole country singer thing makes me want to stop watching.

I think he meant it is just stale and unoriginal, they lack the creativity so they put filler jokes in through their episodes. It has nothing to do with negative attraction, just the fact Seth and the gang have lost it period, only people who defend this show are the same ones who laugh at every flashback joke 10 years later like its still funny.

The laughs decrease with every season, same with South Park, Futurama, and Simpsons, they all had better writers thus more quality seasons, but today they are all dead.

Um that doesn't compare...pat tillman was killed in combat and peter made a joke about killing him, the jesus jokes are usually in good humor and tasteful...like when jesus goes golfing and uses his powers to make his putt...how is that wrong?
