De Niro vs. Pacino

In your opinion, if you had to pick one actor to watch in a film who would it be? De Niro or Pacino?

DeNiro and its not really close, Nicholson and Brando are also ahead of Pacino for my top 3. Pacino is awesome but his career is nothing special after the AMAZING 70s run (GF I & II, Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, Glengarry Glen Ross). DeNiro on the other hand had Raging Bull, Once Upon A Time, Goodfellas, Brazil, King of Comedy, Untouchables...its really looking like a landslide when you acknowledge he out acted Pacino in GF II, and had great roles in Mean Streets, and Deer Hunter.

The nail in the coffin is Taxi Driver, though Pacino in the GF I is right behind it imo.

Fuuuck. It IS close.

I would say De Niro because of Meet the Parents. He starred in one of the best comedies ever Pacino can't say that.

Tough one here fellas! Both of their resumes are better than any other actor!!! But if I had to pick one it would be Pacino! Being a sports fan I love Raging Bull but Any Given Sunday is just as powerful all because of Pacino!!!

They both starred in Heat. De Niro was wayyyy better than Pacino in Heat.

I respectfully disagree.

I enjoyed Pacino's performance more than De Niro's in Heat. Though they were both very good, and it was close.

I'd take the guy that didn't get jerked off in a movie.


Even real critics, actors, and theatre people say Pacino.
