| By endless lies - 07-08-2012, 01:53 AM - Boxden > The TV and Movie Spot Edit: The movie begins with the airplane hijacking. They re-dubbed all of Bane's lines from this scene. He's much more clear now BUT he's way, way, way too obviously Irish. WAY too Irish. They did employ enough camera tricks to make Hardy look big and bad as Bane. He DOES break Batman's back. The fight scene between Batman and Bane is pretty bad, though. I cannot for the life of me understand why Batman is, apparently, beating bricks out of walls but yet Bane is no-selling the utter !! out of every strike Batman is throwing. He punches Bane dead square in the face so many times and he barely flinches. WTF? I know Bane is supposed to be this monster of a man but come on. Why is he defeated at the end of the movie with the EXACT SAME punches, then? It's not like Bruce took steroids during the 3rd act. I'm sorry... But the action scenes were CONSIDERABLY lacking. Chris Nolan cannot handle action sequences. All of his fight scenes lack any semblance of excitement or magic. It's always just a rear close-up shot of someone's shoulders as they repeatedly charge toward what's in front of them. Every. Time. Then you have instances where Batman is fighting 5 people at the same time who are all wielding semi-automatic weapons. Problem. Just a couple moments ago in the movie Batman tells Catwoman "these guys don't care if they die." soooo... It's not like friendly fire should be an issue here. Batman is literally walking over, holding these guys with one arm, 1-shotting them with the other and poof. KTFO. Everyone just pretty much huddles around waiting to be taken down with just 1 strike. There were also a couple of takes that I just didn't agree with. It took them like 15 minutes to tell everyone to get back on the bus. WTF!?!?!? That was pretty bad. ![]() ![]() |

| Eight years after the Joker k!llings, Gotham City is in a state of peace. Under powers granted by the Dent Act, Commissioner Gordon has nearly eradicated violent and organized crime. However, he still feels guilty about the cover-up of Harvey Dent's crimes, and at a function celebrating Dent he plans to admit to the conspiracy, but decides that the city is not ready for the truth. While following a lead in the abduction of a senator from the function, Gordon's speech falls into the hands of terrorist leader Bane. Gordon is shot in the process, and he promotes patrol officer John Blake to detective, allowing Blake to report directly to him. As Batman has disappeared from Gotham City, so too has Bruce Wayne, locked up inside Wayne Manor. Wayne Enterprises is crumbling after he invested in a clean energy project designed to harness fusion power, but shut the project down after learning that the core could be modified to become a nuclear device. Wayne suspects that his business rival, John Daggett, has employed Bane to aid in an aggressive take-over of the company. When he attempts to intervene in an attack on the city's stock exchange, Wayne comes into conflict with Alfred over his plans to return to the streets of the city as Batman. Alfred finally admits that Rachel Dawes chose to live her life with Dent, and leaves Wayne's service in an attempt to force him to recognise that he cannot survive as Batman. Following a trail left by cat burglar Selina Kyle, Batman confronts Bane, who claims to have[..]umed the leadership of the League of Shadows following the [rip] of Ra's al Ghul. Bane k!lls Daggett and reveals that he was using Daggett's construction firms to stage a heist on Wayne Enterprises' Applied Science Division. He steals Wayne's arsenal before crippling Batman and condemning him to a prison from which escape is impossible. While there, Wayne learns the story of a child who escaped; not out of righteousness or justice, but out of necessity and the sheer force of will. He believes Bane is the child. Bane lures the Gotham police department underground and sets off a chain of explosions across the city, trapping the officers underground and turning Gotham City into an isolated city-state. Any attempt to leave the city will result in the detonation of the Wayne Enterprises fusion core, which has been converted into a b0mb. Addressing the citizens, Bane reveals the cover-up of Harvey Dent's [rip], and sets free the prisoners locked up under the Dent Act. The rich and powerful are dragged from their homes and put before a show trial presided over by Dr. Jonathan Crane, where they are given the choice between [rip] or "exile" (in actuality the chance to escape Gotham across a thin layer of ice). After an attempt to sneak Special Forces soldiers into the city disguised as aid workers ends badly, the government blockades Gotham. Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne retrains himself to be Batman and successfully escapes Bane's prison to return to Gotham. He enlists Selina, Blake, and Fox's help in liberating the people of the city and stopping the fusion b0mb. Batman confronts Bane, only for Tate to intervene as she reveals herself to be Talia al Ghul. It was she, not Bane, who escaped the prison as a child, and Bane was permanently scarred as he tried to help her. Gordon successfully cuts off the b0mb's ability for remote detonation and Selina k!lls Bane, allowing Batman to chase Talia. He tries to force her to take the b0mb to the fusion chamber, where it can be st@bilised, but she remotely floods the chamber. Batman forces her truck off the road and she dies in the resulting crash, confident that the b0mb cannot be stopped. Using a helicopter developed by Fox, Batman escorts the b0mb beyond the city limits, allowing it to detonate over the ocean. In the aftermath of the explosion, the world believes Batman to be dead, and Bruce Wayne to have been one of the casualties of the riot. As his estate is divided up, Alfred witnesses Bruce and Selina together alive in a cafe in Italy, while John Blake inherits the Batcave. | |
