I agree, these guys know what the !!s up. TDKR has everyone up in arms, saying how it's "amazing", and "epic" when really it's a below average film. The writing is horrible, so is the dialogue, and there are no connections with any of the characters, except for Alfred and Bruce. Also, the action is filmed horribly, Nolan really needs to work on his hand to hand combat, because it was so awkward, and cut to quickly...

Seems like EVERYONE is just caught up in the HYPE machine...

I saw a reviewer pin pointed exactly in words what i felt was missing.. batman.

Thats why when he came back to gotham towards the end thats when I got a jolt of excitement and thats when the movie picked up.

I don't think I'd nominate it for best movie either, unless it ends up being a really weak year or unless they're giving it lifetime achievement awards like they did with the third Lord of the Rings.

Hardy was good but he had a mask and voice dubs the whole time, Hathaway MAYBE but she's basically a shoe-in to get nominated in the same category for Les Miserables. Oldman, Caine, Freeman (Oscary type guys) were barely in the movie. If anyone has a shot it'd be Bale, but he's not getting a Best Leading Actor nomination for playing Batman.

I guess I could see Nolan getting love maybe possibly, but who even cares he's already the most famous director in the world now, he doesn't need any !!ing Oscars. Still it shouldn't be his TDKR directing that wins him his Oscar, imo his most poorly directed film. TDK shouldve been though.

On the other hand, they gave LOTR (a far worse trilogy) like a thousand Oscars so who the !! knows.

One of the most dissapointing movies I have ever seen.

Was this a batman movie? Christian Bale had a maximum of 30 minutes of screen time.

Christopher Nolan is one of the best directors of our time period, but he !! the bed on this one.

Bane sounded like Sean Connery had se# with Jar Jar Binks and produced a little man with marbles in his mouth.
