The Dark Knight Rises Blu-Ray/DVD Release Date Set For Dec. 3

Why is a trailer for "The Dark Knight Rises" showing up on YouTube, two months after the movie was released? It's available because the Blu-ray and DVD edition of the final chapter of the Christopher Nolan / Christian Bale "Batman" trilogy will arrive at retailers on Dec. 3, 2012.

You can watch the "new old" trailer below, embedded.

The film will be available on Blu-ray Combo Pack and Digital Download on Dec. 3. The cover for the home video release - and any special features have yet to be revealed, but we'll keep an eye out for any Warner Bros. announcements.

The film stars Christian Bale in his third and final turn as Bruce Wayne / Batman), Michael Caine as his loyal butler Alfred, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle / Catwoman, Gary Oldman as Police Commissioner James Gordon, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, Tom Hardy as Bane, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as beat cop John Blake, and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate.

"The Dark Knight Rises" released to theaters on July 20, to both great reviews, great crowds, and - tragically - a horrific ma#s shooting incident.

Since its release, TDKR has risen to No. 8 domestically, with $441 million in box office receipts, and No. 9 globally, with $1.058 billion in tickets sold.

I wouldn't be able to contain myself. I'd buy this, and if a trilogy box set does come out I'll get that too.

Not to mention, I already own BB and TDK on Blu-Ray separately. Oh, and on DVD.

I need help.

price on the triology is gonna be crazy tho, probably just grab this on blu-ray

8 days before my b day but I want the collectors edition Blu Ray box set with Nolan's authentic autograph just to me. With behind the scene footage of all 3 movies, actors behind the scene interviews, the different endings and the most epic director commentary ever. A 3 hour making of disc that features all 3 movies. The career look at Heath Ledger's legendary role as The Joker, his on set interviews about the characters portrayal and how he prepared for the role.

This is the Blu Ray Collectors box set I want

Indeed. but I want the director's cut though I wonder if they selling the regular & director's cut same day though. Or if the other is for a later release.

There isn't gonna be a directors cut. Nolan never does directors cuts of his films.
