Haywire was like 2011....but on that note, Abduction was a !! !!ing movie to me. Lautner is a flat !!in actor with like 4 facial expression Max. The action was felt low budget and was really forgettable...!! the whole movie is forgettable.

As I said, I don't like it, but the reasons aren't because of the creative choices... For the most part, I liked the weird choices the director made (no music in action scenes, no quick edits, long takes, etc.)... It's just that the story itself isn't very interesting.

ur right not every movie needs it,but being that the story wasnt that interesting to begin with,the choice to go with no music made for more of a distraction for the f!ght scenes and made the lack of good story more noticeable lol..

I can vouch for Battleship being the worst movie this year. I saw it on bootleg n wanted my money back and I didn't even pay for it the bootleg man gave it away for free.

I didn't even make it all the way through Hick. Act of Valor kept me entertained (I was 11B for 8 years *shrugs) Lockout was so stupid I actually found myself liking it. I can't even laugh at Adam Sandler no more & I read your BattleShip review you did when it dropped which convinced me I should never ever ever ever even think about watching that movie...

Ever! Lol

I'd like to add Devil Inside too. I actually saw that !! at the flix & that was the first time I seen people boo a movie in awhile. Not since I still lived in NY.

I liked Act of Valor.. Thought the whole Active Duty Navy Seals was dope.. But maybe it's because I'm partial to just about all military movies..

I have three rules about the movies that end up on my worst list...

1). I have to have seen them.
2). They have to have been released in theaters.
3). They have to have received a score LOWER than a 4.5

That movie, as bad as it may be, is a movie that doesn't really count. I mean, really... Who was going to pay their money to see "Jersey Shore Shark Attack"?

F*CK! I cannot believe I forgot that one... Damn, if I would've remembered that film, it would've definitely pushed "Act of Valor" to my number 6 spot.

I disagree with you on Hick. Yes it was a mess and it was easily the worst directed movie I've ever seen. Pretty sad to say it but whoever directed this movie makes Uwe Boll look like Christopher Nolan. But for me the acting was so good that alone saved the movie from being as awful as you say. It still sucked and was the biggest disappointment of the year but I'm sure there are at least 20 movies this year that were worse than this.

Act of Valor wasnt a great movie but I watched it with a black ops Green Beret. We walked out of the theater and he looked at us like [pic] "Damn thats just how it is". For that fact alone I feel that movie is not terrible. Acting is bad but the action and battle scenes are on point.

Act of Valor was one of the funnest movies i have seen in years.

Safe House however deserves Valor's spot, at least Valor IS entertaining.

Hmmmmm.... I can see your point, I suppose. For my money, I liked those choices, and it made the movie unique in a stylistic sense, but not in a story sense. It was very much an exercise in style over substance, and the style was weird enough to keep me engaged. I just wish there was more of a story there...

...And that it wasn't shot on video.
