Batman begins was my favorite. Tdk second. Tdkr is last as of now, but may change after another viewing.

Sticks
Dark knight easily. Better acting, better story, better villian... Not too much going on.

agree with the first two posts except the part about action... id say the only thing that tdkr has on the first two is the scale of everything that took place... I really wish I didn't watch the trailers before seeing tdkr, I think it ruined the wow factor on certain parts.

I feared this might be the case, but I thought the storyline and plot would've been PHENOMENAL enough to overshadow that. [pic]

First of all I would like to say that Michelle Pfifer catwoman >>>> Anne Hathaway catwoman

Also, why didn't they expand on her story, I dont even think there was a single cat in the story, but I digress....

1. The Dark Knight
2. Batman Begins
3. The Dark Knight Rises

Batman begins is best, followed by tdk then tdkr. That may change after I see rises again. So much was happening I think I need to see it again to be able to process it.

TDKR is by far the greatest movie in all history.

batman begins set the foundation. great backstory explanation, more realistic feel.

the dark knight is (my opinion) one of the best comic book movies ever made. i liked it a !!load better than a lot of regular movies out. great story, great acting, no dead spots, everything clicked.

the dark knight rises is probably a hair below the dark knight. not that there was anything bad (it was !!in awesome) but its hard to top the dark knight. the bat was awesome, the plot twists, the emotional aspect, just mind blowing.

tdk > tdkr > bb.

batman begins

i think tdr set a new standard for super hero films, and story tellin in general.tdkr was more epic but bane just wasnt as compellin as tha joker.he had ideals but joker was about showin eveybody was just like him when tha chips were down.he was all about peelin off everybody masks.bane was just hell bent on destruction.not as much depth

These three movies can be summed up in one word. It's the same word Gordon used at the end of Batman Begins. ESCALATION.

Batman Begins: Epic orgin story and foundation for the trilogy as far as story and character arcs go. Prisoners are set free from Arkham Asylum and take over parts of the city until Batman can end it.

The Dark Knight: Continues the story of a bleek Gotham at the mercy of a sadistic mad man who manipulates the three people that retro-actively run the city(Harvey Dent, Commisioner Gordon, Batman).

The Dark Knight Rises: The streets are clean. A man born and raised in hell on earth comes to Gotham to continue the legacy of The League of Shadows. An organization that he was exiled from after being deemed too extreme by his mentor Ra's Al Ghul. His terror doesn't last a couple of days, or maybe weeks as it did with The Joker (although Gordon shows Batman Joker's calling card at the end of Batman Begin's which was 6 months before TDK), Bane completely changes in the infrastructure of Gotham's government with his 6-month long occupation.

Each time the stakes were higher, each time more was needed to defeat evil. TDKR was the PERFECT ending to this story arc.

I love all three deeply, and maybe it's because TDKR is the "flavor of the month" right now, but I have to say after careful consideration that TDKR is my favorite.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought bane wasn't born in that prison? I know they said he was but I thought later on they changed and said it was talia who was born there?
 07-20-2012, 06:37 PMaway - #19
!!!
No you're not wrong.

It was Talia born in the prison. Bane was already there, became protective over her and help her escape and got scarred on his face in the process.

Then it was Talia who got her father Ra's Al Ghul to take his mercenaries down to the pit and rescue Bane.

The Dark Knight Rises was the most well done of the three. Not sure if it's because Nolan is maturing more and more as a director or what. I do find The Dark Knight more entertaining though.
