Arrested Development's Episode Order Grows

Production on Arrested Development‘s “comeback” season has hit the pause button, but for the best of reasons — to bring you even more Bluth goodness.

As reported by our sister site Deadline, during the course of shooting the original 10-episode order for Netflix, AD creator Mitch Hurwitz ama#sed more material than planned, as he dreamed up new scenes and story arcs on the fly.

As such, Hurwitz — along with producing studios 20th Century Fox TV and Imagine TV — got Netflix to greenlight an additional two to five episodes, bringing the total order to as many as 15. Production was then halted (until late January) so that Hurwitz can review the extra material and decide how and where it will be used to populate additional episodes.

A rep for Netflix told Deadline that as of now “we are not confirming or announcing the final episode count, but we are sure fans will be thrilled when we do.”

Even with the reported extra episodes, the new season of Arrested Development will still drop all at once, on Netflix, sometime in the spring.

They had the worst time slot when they first aired....use to turn the channel with the quickness to other shows when they would popup.

Ok everybody on BX has been hyping this show up for I don't know how long. I'm finally gonna check it out sometime over the holidays and it better be as good as yall make it out to be[pic]

Hell yeah. When I first saw it I couldn't figure out why all this random !! was going on so I'd turn. Then when I finally got around to watching it the time slot was friday nights and I could never catch it. [pic]

Dam, thats crazy that they are releasing it all at once. I'd expect them to try and milk those releases somehow. But there's still time. Im sure there will be some extra costs in watching these, which i'd gladly pay twice just to see them.

This is one of those shows that you can rewatch how ever many times and always catch some sibliminal joke you never got before. This show gets better every time I watch it, and watched it over about 8 times in the past 4 years.

If you've never seen it, believe the hype, it's that good
