The Amazing Spider-Man Official Site Updated

Columbia Pictures has updated the official site for The Amazing Spider-Man with new wallpapers, avatars and character sheets for Ben & May Parker (Martin Sheen & Sally Field) and Richard & Mary Parker (Campbell Scott & Embeth Davidtz). Opening in 3D, 2D and IMAX theaters on July 3, The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen) and Aunt May (Sally Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

kind of fishy that they haven't released a second trailer yet. i mean batman has like three counting the prologue.

That's a horrible comparison. Of course, Batman has more trailers right now:

A. It's the end of a trilogy and a highly anticipated movie. They know they can build even more anticipation by releasing trailers.

B. This is a re-boot and not as anticipated as Batman.

Since its not nearly as highly anticipated as Batman shouldnt they release more trailers to try and raise the hype level for this?

1. they don't need that much hype, its a spiderman movie, the hype is already there
2. The movie isn't out for another 5 month
3. The new trailer comes out tuesday or thursday

Actually it does need hype, atleast more then batman. People remember the crappy last one and this one is made by a music director with one movie under his belt, a romantic comedy. It's starting to look like wolverine all over again.

I don't remember Batman Begins as being that highly hyped (could be wrong). It seems like they may not want to waste the money unless they know it will be a success

1. So if the hype is "already there" why is Batman and Avengers putting out trailers I mean isnt the hype already there for them
2. I believe Batman and Avengers are both about 5 months out so this point makes no sense
3. Ill give you this but WHY would they put out a new trailer when its a SPIDERMAN MOVIE and the hype is already there?????????
