What current Popular urban brands will last 5 years from now?

All urban/hip hop clothing lines seem to have a good year or two then loose their "cool" appeal and end up on sale racks and discount stores. Here's some examples:

FUBU: The first popular urban brand and was hot back in like 97-98 but you dont even see Fubu in stores now.

RP55: Made some cool t shirts but never went past that

Mecca: Was one of the first urban brands but their line never evolved. They now make suits for sale at Burlington Coat Factory

Dada: Created a big buzz with their line of hats but blew up too fast and did too much. Their sh*t was officially wack when they made C Webb shoes

Avirex: Their $500 leather jackets were the sh*t back in the late 90s. You can find Avirex clothes in JC Penney for $17 for some jeans.

Outkast Clothing: They rarely even wore their own clothing. Dre was sporting platinum wigs and big ass mc hammer pants at the time.

Snoop Dogg clothing: Looked like every other rappers clothing brand

DrunknMunky: Their sh*t was pretty hot after JayZ wore a shirt in his video. They sold out and now sell their sh*t in JC Penny and all discount stores.

Sean John Rocawear Eynce and Phat Farm seem to be the very few that have last through fads and many years or changing styles. Bape is about to be played out soon. Same with all the printed hoodie bandwagon jumpers like CLH and 10 deep. What current hot brands do you think will last?

You're forgetting Ecko, which has been around for ages and continues to turn out great designs every season.

I can't think of anything right now. I mean LRG is getting old. I think Triple 5 Soul has showed longevity.

I forgot about Cross Colors and Karl Kani which were like the VERY first urban brands. They never made it past the colorfull jeans and high top fade era.

Ecko was hot like LRG back in the late 90's early 2000's but they've lost some of their appeal since then. They've still lasted through the years though.

Ecko is most definitely going to be around for quite some time. Marc Ecko has diversified his company through Zoo-York, Marc Ecko Clothing Co and Ecko Unltd. His company designs special cars for Nissan for Christ's Sake.

Aside from that, LRG will. Roc-A-Wear due to Jay's influence and Sean John since it is such high grade sh**.

10 deep is poorly managed and distriubuted...from personal sources I can tell you they wont even get to the mainstream level unless management is changed.....upper management there is crazy nice @ designing sh*t, but they're not businessmen....still i think they are KILLIN the hoody game rite now and they got my support...they just gotta step up their business....

and as for brands that are going to stick around, Ecko, LRG, 555 Soul, RW, SJ, and Akademiks

That's only one brand. There's not many others man. Maurice Malone no longer makes hip hop inspired clothies. They now only design high end runway fashion carried at places that Fred Seagal.
