Blame it on the resellers charging them[..] prices.

They see what people will pay, and adjust prices accordingly. Simple economics.

thats slightly true not sure if your talking about the employee store in portland they let you only get one pair of a big release on the first day but after that there isnt really a limit but of course most jordans never make it past first day most nikes usually do.
