CLothes in College

How much do you think is neccessary to spend on clothes while going away to college. Well if not spending how much do you need for example how many pairs of shoes/jeans/shirts? I kind of threw away alot of clothes because they were too baggy. I know people dont get fresh while in college, well at least not everyday.

I can't tell you how much to spend...you would have to base that off of how much you still have, how often you are going to wash them, etc.

And I wouldn't say people don't dress up at college, its just that I never saw a reason to put together a nice outfit when I'm just going to my 9:15 am class. Sweatpants and a hoody do the trick. And that is something you should also take into account, the weather. I'm up at Penn State, and winters around here are brutal. So for the Fall semester I still have some of the summer stuff out for now, but around Oct., Nov. when I go home I'll put most of that away and get ready to get my winter stuff. So bring or buy what you think you will need right away, and everything else can wait.

Man, your mentality wrong already. Spend $0. Them niggaz who be gettin all fresh to goto class is the same ones who end up unemployed when (or should i say if) they graduate.
Focus on school, then you when you get some money after college thats when you can splurge on the Gucci, Louis, etc. while the other bummy niggaz still buyin they Rocawear, Coogi, etc.

I would get a base of clothes ... but not spend too much because you wanna look nice on the times you wanna go out and party ... to class there is no need to dress fresh at all .... but when your going out you can change it up ... I would get about 3 or 4 clean outfits at first and then build from there ... rest of my stuff would be cheap sh*t ....

Man my theory about clothes and college is, you gotta mature every year... like now that you're in college you shouldn't be wearing baggy clothes and dressing like a typical highschooler/ or drop out...2nd just grow with ya style...like buy some sperry's & some poloz, and drift from them tall t's and baggy coogi's(The aim is to grow towards wearing suits n ties everyday...you want a career right?)..so show it...you're in a professional setting(College)...shidd i love being fresh everyday...i do it for me, not the hoes..but everyone notice wen you do it like that, then they would admire ya swagg...Like some people on my campus think i'm a member of Kappa Alpha Psi...and i love that..cus that is the best frat(my opinion)!...so really dress like a nupe...and do ya work...and people would think so highly of you!

When you're tired and that alarm goes off in the mornin' you're gonna throw on the most comfortable thing you can find, believe me. I'm not sayin' don't cop a few fresh fits on deck, but don't go to class stiff and uncomfortable 'cause you wanna look fly. Colored tees, Jays, and basketball shorts is what most people wear around. In case you get a date or somethin' or for some kind of special occasion keep 3 to 5 fly fits on deck. So I'd say 7 pairs of sneakers starting out would be good. 10 to 15 shirts, comfortable and fresh. A couple hoodies, some jeans, just pick some stuff you like and cop new kicks.

Brah, itz lyke dis. Iz u just tryin' to be fresh for no reason or dressin' to impress? Of course you gotta bring sum shyt U can step out in, sum button upz, poloz, whateva floats ya boat. When you just going from class to class, just sum sweats, a tee, and a fitted. Shyt, when itz hott sum jordan shorts or hoopin' shorts instead of sweats. Yo, I'm finna be a senior and my freshman year i was cummin' out tha pocket still tryin' to look good and what nott, but women like a niggah for their persona, swagga, and sometimes you can be dumb az rocks but look good to em' and still pull em. So, just keep what ya have, gett a lil' part time gig, and shop at Marshall's, Burlington Coat Factory, or find a friend dat works at a clothing store that getts discounts. If you have to spend be smart about it. School is for your education...85% of tha time, tha rest iz to fukk bi*ches and enjoy life before you start payin' off ya loans and house notes and all otha bullshyt.
