Your best bet would be to google some high calorie and protein diets...a lot of it is gonna depend on your weight and your prefences truely...you also don't have to go crazY...ease urself into it...that's the best way to go..search for a rippetoe diet plan its one I used well.. i have 3 shakes a day...one in the morning after waking up, one post workout and one before bed. my morning and post workout shakes contain whey protein while my before bedtime shake contains casein. i eat 7 times a day, small meals. 3 of the meals are the protein shakes and the others are from food. here's a breakdown of the time i eat: 7am: protein shake 9:30 am: real food (usually fruit) noon: real food 2:30: real food 5:30: real food (pre-workout meal) 8:00: post workout protein shake 10:30: bedtime protein shake i eat about 3300 calories on my workout days. i'm currently 5'10 and 186 lbs. ive been using this schedule whenever i bulk for about 5 years now and have made some nice gains during each bulk |

The purpose of shakes are to replace a meal and for immediate protein intake after workouts. You should be eating atleast 4 times a day, and possibly 2 shakes. Once around morning or lunch, and the second, after a workout. You aren't going to get big doing curls and bench. You have to develop a good workout routine. By that, I will leave you with the some advice. Focus on squats and deadlifting. They are the key to getting bigger and stronger. |

But in regards to the high calorie/high protein diet...should I be doing much cardio during my workouts? I mean, if they're high calorie...doesn't that mean I'm going to put on fat? That's through two scoops and you can take as much or lil as you want. All proteins are made up of combination of amino acids. L-Glutamine is an amino acid.Why is three sessions a week too many? What is "truly doing it right"? How can you overtrain if you eat enough throughout the day? Once again why twice a week at most? ![]() | |
