| Reduce Muscle Fatigue (Works) |
| By browntown2 - 03-22-2006, 09:27 PM - Boxden > The BX Gym - Health, Exercise, and Nutrition taking ice baths greatly reduces the amount of fatigue you have (especially in your legs) after you workout 1. ice numbs your muscles causing the blood to recede 2. when youre done icing for like 10-15 minutes and get out, fresh blood rushes back to your muscles causing nourishment for your muscles (and something about your lactic acids) ive taken icebaths after intense workouts or games and they help a lot, just wanted to share :applause: |

| yeah, I realized that if you take a bath after a workout whether its your legs or your arms...your recovery is about 50% faster than normal... and when i say bath i mean hot water... | |

| hot water i believe relaxes the muscles but what i was trying to get a point across was that COLD WATER replaces your blood in your muscles that have been worked reducing the need for lactic acids and thus creating less fatigue.. i usually take a hot shower after an ice bath | |
