6'8 only weighing 180. Skinny as hell. Never really thought about getting built at all. In decent shape, bike a lot and eat well. But horrible upper body strength. I think it's time for me to start bulking up. I saw a few other posts about "strength start" on Wiki. Don't really have room for a weight set and no time to go to the gym.

Can you get built without huge weight sets?
Was thinking trying p90x
any suggestions or good workout plans?

You can't find 45 minutes, 3-4 days a week a day to go to a gym? Hard to believe. In order to sustain muscle growth you have to be able to progressively overload your muscles which you can't do without proper weights/access to a gym.

Most importantly you have to eat enough calories to put on weight. And you're basically anorexic so start focusing on your caloric intake and make it consistent.

Breakfast: Three fried-egg sandwiches loaded with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, fried onions and mayonnaise. Two cups of coffee. One five-egg omelet. One bowl of grits. Three slices of French toast topped with powdered sugar. Three chocolate-chip pancakes.

Lunch: One pound of enriched pasta. Two large ham and cheese sandwiches with mayo on white bread. Energy drinks.

Dinner: One pound of pasta. An entire pizza. More energy drinks.

Haha naw. I eat just eggs, fried egg sandwich, scrambled etc... in the morning or a bowl of cereal. Lunch I make a nice sandwich, grilled cheese or lunch meat I have. Dinner is usually pasta with chicken or beef. Try mixing it up every so often. I make 90% of my meals myself. But... Recently I have discovered in n out burger. It is hard to resist. I got a job where I just sit in a computer chair or traffic all day. Drive past it. I'm not sure what my calorie intake is but I'd say around 2750-3000 calories a day.

p90x is good but it won't get you bigger...just more defined. The only good thing about that is all you will need are resistance bands and maybe two dumbbells.

If you want to go all out and take this seriously though on your quest for mass, I will buy a weight cage like this [pic]

and this [pic] with a bench

that way you can get your compound lifts on...probably run you $1000 tho

go to the nearest park and do pull ups, dips, push ups and drink protein shakes n creatine. There no secret formula other than training and nutrition, just do it.

If OP wants to get built with some strength and mass, eat and this is what you're going to have to do.

i got two things for advice. learn about nutrition and finish your reps if your suppose to do 3 sets of 10 then make sure the weight is heavy but it's not too much where you can't finish your sets. if you can consistently finish your reps you'll see results.

I see myself being able to do this rather than getting a gym membership and going through all of that.
Never tried any protein shakes or anything like that.
You have any suggestions?

Of course you can get big. I did and was a skinny mofo for a minute. So you can too.

You one tall dude though. I'm only 6'1 so it was easier to gain weight.

That's what you need to do. Gain weight then turn that into muscle. No secret at all. Just commitment. Good luck.
