Is the high bar or low bar squat of better benefit to the athlete on your guys opinion? I'm specifically a basketball player so which is better for me?

Both are about the same for making gains. But imo low bar squats are safer on your back. I would suggest box squats for basketball players over either though. Look up Louie Simmons box squats. IMO that is the best for vertical and quickness.

I've read high because the learning curve is less steep. I personally high bar squat.

I do both but I prefer high bar for more vastus lateralis development and low bar squat for strengthening my posterior chain. With that said, my advice is to do both.

Which bar placement puts less stress on the back though? And can you tell me the mechanics to back it up?

everybody on these front squats. i want to try them front squats but man i dont see how dude holds the bar in that video. im tall with long arms and that seems impossible for me unless i cross my arms on top of the bar.

practice and step your core game up..good core won't let it roll off your

not really core strength im concerned about i cant bend my arms like that. guess im not flexible.

I'd have to rest it on the top of my shoulder's and cross my arms an make an X on top of the bar. I dont know if thats fine or not.


nevermind i found it @ 1:38. dude said thats not good. I need to buy some wrist wraps. Because I feel like i'm not holding it right like @ 2:45sec when I do that it's uncomfortable on my arms.
