How can I fix my arms, eliminate the fat around my arms, especially the triceps area? I lost a lot of weight since 2005 and there is still loose fat around my arms. Some people tell me to lose more weight and some people tell me to lift weights. I dont know what to do so I came here to get a clear answer since I know the people here actually work out. These are the pictures so you can get a view of what I am talking about.

So, my biceps are straight? I been lifting at the gym for like a month now.

Should I do the bike exercises too to burn some more fat off the arms? I keep on hearing that you cant make fat turn into muscle.

Oh yeah, cardio should be one of your main priorities. As well as rearranging your diet to remove any fatty foods.

Swimming, sprinting/running. If you cant sprint or run, jog. 20-30 mins. As well as the stuff i mentioned.

But most importanly, eat healthy!

Are you sure it's fat? From those pics it looks more like lax (loose) skin. If you continue to workout it should "fill out" to some extent. Good luck

props, So lifting weights will tone up the loose skin into muscles?

I am just asking because during my gym time, I dont want to focus more than I need to on cardio when all i have to do is lift more and more to make loose skin into muscles.

that doesn't look like fat at all...it looks more like loose skin. looks as though you lost weight way too fast. its recommended that you should only lose an average 1-2 lbs a week but anyway..you can't turn fat into muscle and you definitely cannot turn skin into muscles. they are very different things.

there is no easy answer for loose skin. my girl had a bit on her tummy after she had our daughter but its tightened up since then. creams and all that are a waste of money and while exercise is good for you and something you should be doing, i don't think you can get rid of that loose skin through exercise. unless u put on some inches and fill them out but i don't know. the best bet would be to go talk to your doctor. maybe you'd have to have surgery.

yeah def stick with the cardio. but still hit the weights. If you wanna tone, you'll wanna stick to lighter weights and do lots of reps. you should be workin up a good sweat and heart rate...

you look like you have lost a ton of weight, that is lose skin for sure, unfortunitly to really get rid of it you would have to get the skin removed, there is just no where for the skin to go. This is very common surgery for people that have there stomach stapled. You should go and see a surgen and see if it is somthing you can afford. Dont be discouragd by this, the work and disapline you have shown to get down to this weight was a much greater challenge then this, congradulation and good luck.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to stacks050 again. I got you homie.

I lost a lot of weight after my senior year of school (class of 05). I get on the scale now and it says I weigh like 185 lbs. Some of my friends and people at work say I dont even look like I weigh that much.

looks like skin to me not really a lot of fat.

i have worked with gastric bypass patients before and they have insane extra

skin from the size their body used to be. so for you i would say try

building that area some more to fill out the skin but it looks

like the muscle mass under is already a good size, so maybe some

preperation h creme will help tighten the skin there, and lots and lots of arm

exercises you might wanna do a split like this to help

mon = chest (3 exercises heavy weights) tris (3 ex heavy)
tues= back (5 exercises heavy) bi's (2 exercises heavy) cardio
wed= shoulders (4 exercises moderate- heavy)
thurs = rest
fri= bi's and tri's ( alternate bi and tri exercises 4 tri's 3 bi's)cardio
sat= shoulders (same as wed)
sun= rest or cardio


i know there is no leg day but cardio will keep your legs fit and we want to get rid of that skin/fat asap and that is what this is designed to do

if you want to do this i would recommend this for a 4-6 week period
continually increasing weight of the lifts everyday
