I'm on day 9. set out to do a 10 day fast, but the last couple days I am CONSTANTLY hungry. Days 4-6 and most of 7 were fine, never hungry. But yesterday and today I've been very hungry. I even drink about 24-30 oz of juice trying to fill up my stomach and body with nutrients. Within 30 minutes i'm hungry again. Starting to think my body is telling me "eat something for gods sake!"

I'm all set up and have been drinking juice the entire day today.

It's going fine, I get hungry but just drink juice and fill up on Water and I'm straight.

Music has helped me keep my mind off solid food and the nay sayers in my family.

What are some of the things you do to keep your mind off eating?

By the time I'm past a week, I'm thinking I need to be just outside you feel me? Go out and go for a walk or play basketball w/ my cousins. Maybe go for a long drive but gas .

Are you doing any strength training? When I get off I have the urge to do some light weight and high reps in my garage just so the muscle I've gained since January doesn't totally go away through this Fast.

I also decided to Write a Journal of my daily experiences. I'm not really into diaries and sh*t but it's not too much different than discussion forums so why not.

The first 3 days were the toughest. Its not even that I was extremely hungry, its just that habit of eating was tough to break. The first few days I made plenty of juice and kept myself full from juice and water. After that, food was out of my mind, unless it was set right in front of me or I caught the smell of something. I avoided tv too, I never realized how many commercials are geared towards food, and that sh*t looks good when you havent eat for days. I also stayed away from strenuous exercise. I played golf a few times, but thats really it. other than that I just had it in my mind that I was not going to eat. I realized it was better to isolate myself. Last weekend I was out at the bar with friends and there was food and drinks all around me. That was tough. Good luck.

Oh I kept a journal too. Going to post it after the weekend.

just read every page of the thread, and watched the doc on netflix.

i'm getting a juicer this week or next (after i put my money up for my trip), and i'm trying this from the time i get it until the end of the month.

The urges for food are lessening and I'm getting used to to not eating solids.

I got a homie who has been doing this for about 2 weeks, and he told me that the only solid food he eats regularly is raisins and almonds, just so his body can still digest solid food.

Here is the recipe e-book I copped.

I printed out all the pages, threw them into nice page protectors and put them into a 3 ring binder so it's as official as it can be.



I juice a lot of stuff, I make 3 drinks for the day... typically the night beforehand so it's already ready for me.

Get a lot of cucumbers man, out of everything I've put in this juicer the cucumber is the king.

Read the e-book's grocery tips, go out and just have fun with it.
The first couple days are tough, but I'm almost at a week and feel like I could keep this going for a while.

I wanted to do 90 days but that doesn't give me time to transition to solid foods before my bachelor party so I'm gonna just do 60. I'm really trying to see 220-235 on the scale by early-mid August.
