| well when you work out it increases heart rate and pumps out all those chemicals into your system. if you dont mind staying up even later then go right ahead. i get up at 5 to work out. when i dont i am usually more tired throughout the day. | |

| I heard you shouldnt workout 2 hours before sleeping. Working out late is no problem, just as long as its at least 2 hours away before u sleep. | |

| working out in the morning jumpstarts your metaolism early and keep you goin all day long. workin out too close to sleeping puts more strain on your body cause in addition to the daily maintenence your body goes through during sleep it also has to deal with the strain on your muscles etc. | |

| I agree w/ dude above, but I find it hard to exercise myself in the morning like I used because of sched. What I try to do is workout in the afternoon or early evening round 8pm or 9pm so I'm not all sweaty going to sleep. | |

| I think there is a study around somehwere saying that your T levels are higher in the morning. I've worked out late, early, noon, mid afternoon, blah blah. I don't find any differences in strength. I'd say do whatever you can. I prefer working out earlier because of the way I eat. | |

| First thing's first, working out late is better than not working out at all. If it's the only time that you can workout or you find that working out at this time keeps you in a groove, keep doing it. At the same time, I agree that working out earlier from what I read is better for you (than at least right before you go to sleep). However, I find that if I workout right when I get up, I can't lift as much (probably since my breakfast isn't as satisfying at a mid-day meal). At the end of the day, do whatever you find keeps you going, but know that you may not realize the same gains/benefits if you do indeed workout before you go to sleep | |
