i dont, but if im going somewhere where i know i will be out in the sun for very long yeah i will cop some sunblock and put it on.

The last time i used sunblock was when i was at trinidad carnival and it was blistering hot. I had my shirt off the entire time, in cases like that yeah i use it.

dont be fooled tho, black ppl CAN get sun burnt if they are exposed long enough

I rarely use sunscreen unless I know im going to be in direct sunlight for some long[..] hours and its hot as !! outside. Only time i really put it on is if im going to a water park or the beach even then its just that spray on coppertone like 60spf. I really only use it if im getting in water cause once u out the water my skin dries up and the sunscreen keeps it moist

Does sunscreen even work for black people? Like are you going to still be the same complexion and not get a bit of tan if you put some on your body and sit out in the sun for hours?

I don't use it. I live in NYC and doubt I'd ever get skin cancer, Maybe if I lived in Miami and was in the sun all year long I'd use it.

If you decide to get some just get the spf 35. I think that's like 95% protection and each spf higher barely increases the protection.

Also Most sunblock takes like 15 minutes before it actually starts working so put it on way before you leave the house.

Us african americans with some pigment are not likely to have skin cancer, so atleast for me that isn't the reason i'd wear sunscreen. Only time i use sunscreen is if i go to the beach, pool or jetskiing which is only about once a year.

I've never applied sunblock to my skin before.

It may have been put on me as a child though.
