The New York Yankees have acquired 10-time All-Star Ichiro Suzuki from the Seattle Mariners for a pair of minor-league pitchers.

The Mariners confirmed the deal, which first was reported by the YES Network, on their official Twitter page.

Ichiro, 38, has spent his entire 12-year career with the Mariners.
Yanks will play slightly more than $2 million of Ichiro's salary for the rest of 2012.
