 your not playing on the Chicago Bears you mean... Rivers has been forced to pass and has done it successfully... im not a fan of the chargers, but Rivers is doing it big for his 1st career start..

i think they would be the same... i don't think eli could do a better job than rivers.

No. Without his last name Eli would be a backup

I think Eli sucking is Coughlin's fault. He's a horrible coach. The Giants should be a top 3 team in the NFC and they're not.

Eli blows man. Dude is not accurate at all. Everyone says hes cool on the field. Hes not cool hes just an idiot who shows no emotion. A great QB needs to be a leader and he is definitely not. Rivers is a leader and fires up the team. Chargers vs. Bengals? Rivers was clutch and a big reason why they came back in that game.

glad people are recognizing that Rivers is clutch and he can get the job done.
we have mediocre receivers, our best one is our tight end, but this guy is almost at 100 rating.

also its not just his skills thats recognized, its his leadership mentality.

he was the driving force behind those two comebacks against Bengals and broncos, not LT.

People just havent heard of Rivers before... Manning is a household name.

I went to NC State, so I've been a Rivers fan since 2000... check his record out:

The second-leading passer in NCAA history with 13,484 career passing yards — breaking school and ACC records

Set an NCAA record with 51 career starts at quarterback …
Finished second in NCAA history with 13,582 career yards of total offense
Tied for fifth in NCAA history with 95 career touchdown passes
Broke school and ACC career records for:
-Passing attempts (1,710)
-Pass completions (1,147)
-Touchdowns responsible for (112)
-300-yard passing games (18)
-400-yard passing games (7)

First quarterback in ACC history — 7th in the NCAA — to throw for 3,000 yards in three different seasons
Completed 110 of 161 passes in four bowl games for:
-1,202 yards
-10 touchdowns / 3 interceptions
-Rushed for 65 yards …

The most decorated passer in school annals.

Combine that with the leagues best running back, and a great kicker and you get the Chargers...

peyton montana and elway suck?

These stats are decieving....when you watch the games....you can see that ALL of Eli's throws are off of his back foot while turning his body....his throws aren't accurate...he just has big targets to hit.....he never really makes passes that wow you....its the catches that are made that wow you....Plaxico ALWAYS bails manning out....a lot fo his passes are underthrown and his receivers go out and get it......point is that Peyton actually had the right mechanics and !! and was throwing good balls....Eli throws ducks and doesnt have very good mechanics.......Philip Rivers was the better choice and truly I think if Eli was on the Chargers....he would probably have the same record as he does on the Giants cause his running back aint no slouch either.......they just force Eli to beat him....Rivers has proven he can make throws to beat teams....thats the diffenerce in the two....

NOPE...

because Eli has Tiki, Plax, Strahan, Osi and has over a season of exp... and they aren't doing what the chargers are doing..

Rivers will do fine... kinda glad eli !!ed about being a charger now.... what a baby. he has the weapons in nyg in a weaker conference... and thye arent dominating like san diego.

did eli mannings last name help him break all of archies records at ole miss? or break all of peytons in highschool?

i believe eli will be fine, stats are only stats but not every qb is peyton manning, or elway, or montana. his stats are comparable to their first few years though so it gives me reason to wait and see if he improves some more.

for how much we are gonna be paying him he does need to improve but he is young still.
