IMO, its a DEEP THREAT/JUMP BALL ability WR.... the colts are too finesse... imo, they didnt make any grabs that werent in open spaces...

if they would've had a brandon marshal, some of the passes that peyton made would've been caught for big gains if not tds...

when the saints were marching... they didnt always create alot of separation.. colston and meachum were jumping and making athletic grabs in the air...

i have always believed that reggie wayne is not a #1 wr... he doesnt step up huge in big games.. yeah hes their best wr, but peerless price was the best wr on buffalo a while back, and he wasnt a #1 wr either..

What do you think the colts need... b/c in all honestly, the colts offense didnt play that bad yesterday but they were still put in very discouraging places by their defense/special teams

I WOULD LOVE to see the colts get a secondary... that could lock people down..but that takes alot of time...

i wish peyton could get a deep ball wr... and that would really make the colts offense dangerous as hell.. peyton isnt going to be able to march down the field with bad field position to comeback and win the game every time for the rest of his career...

haters are welcome, but be objective...

lol @ this s**t

blame their pus*y ass coach for laying down vs the Jets that s**t was a disrespectful move to every fan they ever had.

That pick by Manning didn't help either.

The Pats won 18 games in 07, they didn't lose the last one becuase they were missing something, it was just they found a team that matches up.

They just chose the wrong day to play like s**t... They got outplayed plain and simple... Just cuz you lose a game doesnt mean you were missing something... They just got beat on the wrong day... Every team loses

do you have to justify everything?

Now Peyton doesnt have a #1 WR ?

Now Lebron doesnt have a team around him ?

Yeah Reggie doesnt show up in big games:
(playoffs)
4 catches , 129 yards , 1td 2008 vs chargers

7 catches , 76 yards 1 td , 2007 vs chargers

2 catches , 61 yards , 1 td , SUPERBOWL

7 catches, 97 yards 2005 vs Pitt

dude i know you're a gaytriot fan but lets face it

1. the colts werent tired...
2. laying down a/g the jets had nothing to do with losing to the saints..

smh @ losing to a team that matches up... sure, but this wasnt the case... the saints had made that onsides kick.. that was the difference in the game..

as for the colts offensive troubles... a deep ball threat would've sealed the game for the colts imo

if it werent for the onsides kick + td, the saints defense wouldnt have forced peyton to throw the ball so much late in the game..

you cant chalk up stuff to "any given sunday"... if that were the case, the patriots wouldnt be trying every year to add more pieces..

last night proved that the best gameplan wins... / having the right talent wins... the colts are not explosive on both ends.. they're conservative on offense but kill you with efficiency... they CLEARLY LACKED the deep ball last night... the saints were tossing big throws all over the place.. eating up 30 yards each drive

an interior pass rush.

their d-line looked like detroit's the entire second half. no pressure up the middle, the pocket doesn't get pushed toward either defensive end. even a healthy freeny couldn't change that. your ends will get their sacks, but not nearly as often as they will give up huge chunks of yards.

consistency... is the key to being a #1... wayne isnt dominant... yes he gets alot of YAC, but dude has to be WIDE OPEN or NON CONTESTED to make grabs... someone like t.o., marshall, fitzgerald, coleston, andre johnson make PHYSICAL plays as well as catches in open spaces...

sometimes being able to make a physical/athletic grab makes the difference in games

That onside kick was not the difference in the game... The difference in the game was the Colts for whatever reason stop giving Addai the ball... Minnesota rushing game destroyed the Saints the Cowboys rushing game destroyed the Saints the Colts rushing game was killing the Saints but for some reason Peyton Manning since you Colt fag boys claim he is the offensive coordinator decided to no longer give the ball to Addai...

Addai had 77 yards on 13 carries he was averaging 6 yards a carry and you stop going to him and start throwing like crazy... And even you claiming they lacked the deep ball for the reason behind their loss... SMH

They lost because they stop pounding the ball which was working for them... I guess Peyton didnt want Addai to get MVP i dont know but 13 carries is not gonna cut it... all 3 teams that gave the Saints hell ran the ball... Tampa, Dallas and Minnesota... The Colts game plan should have been pound pound pound nothing else

umm all the guys you listed are all 6'3 or bigger... nice try there

the only little' man who plays big is probably Steve Smith of the Panthers.

What is reggie wayne? 6'0ft with cleats on..

Reggie Wayne cant make Non Contested Catches? Get the f**k outta here

all im saying is that reggie wayne isnt filling the shoes of what harrison did on the field..

harrison is def. one of the best finesse wrs of all time.. but physical wr > finesse

and i dont recal wayne making contested grabs.. he makes incredible grabs b/c peyton throws it in a place where he cant be contested...but he still has amazing hands...but hes not good in phyical catch situations imo

Colts have always been soft up the middle, they need a DT that can collapse the pocket....

WTf??? No they dont they shut down the Saints running game... They played decent defense... The Saints only scored 24 points on offense... And that was with an extra possession because of the onside kick... Holding the Saints offense to 24 points is considered good seeing how its below their average and the lowest point total they scored all postseason

the saints turned the game into a track meet after the onsides kick..it was evident that they had confidence to throw bombs all over the field.. and nobody was dropping anything...

my point is that i thought the colts ran the ball well and often.. but it wasnt getting them first downs, it was getting them 3-4 yards at best...and they'd have a short 3rd and 4 and someone would drop a guaranteed 1st down, or someone would get stuffed @the line of scrimmage..

the running game was not nearly as potent, plus it was eating their time...

truth be told, the saints didnt run the ball very much.. their air game was incredible...

the saints proved that if you have a potent passing attach, the running game isnt that crucial.. they probably had 70 total yards rushing

The Colts just lost on 2 key plays. The onside kick and the interception. They pretty much went undefeated all season without any dominant offensive players other than Peyton.

I think it's Bob Sanders and experience with the corners.

So when the Colts get rid of Reggie Wayne for a phyiscal WR, then they lose a big game.. are you gonna say they are missing a finesse wr ?

stop justifying your s**t, 31 other teams in the NFL would kill to have Reggie as there #1 WR.

Porter already said he knew what Peyton was doing on that interception...
Defensive Players watch film too.

i'd trade him for a younger t.o. or andre johnson right now..

Not just this year outside of Sanders who usually is hurt thier secondary seems awful to me most years I know this year they seemed better till the big game.
