Warriors, Bulls, Clippers, Wizards, Bobcats, Hornets, Sonics/Thunder Have Never Paid Luxury Tax

There are seven NBA teams that have never had a luxury tax payment since it came into existence with the 1999 collective bargaining agreement.

The Bulls, Warriors, Clippers, Wizards, Bobcats, Hornets and Sonics/Thunder have always been on the receiving end of tax distributions.

While the Clippers, Wizards and Hornets have taken on salary during the 2012 offseason and the Thunder face tax issues if James Harden and Serge Ibaka are signed to new deals, the Bulls and Warriors continue to be tax conscious in their decision-making.

Golden State has just one playoff appearance over that stretch.

Exactly. Cohan was a cheap[..] so of course he wouldnt pay !!. Lacob doesnt wanna pay it either but hes at least open to the it if it means landing a superstar or top tier type player

Yeah George Shinn blew our team up when we where up and coming...never looked that promising again. I would say that tom benson definitely will pony up the dough...but i don't know when the new luxury tax rules kick in. But I know he is way more willing to spend than shinn ever was.

Clippers have and old cheap slave owner at the helm. & The bulls are just dumb and cheap.

oh, they will. only reason they haven't is because their best players were on rookie deals, all below market value. When Harden/Ibaka get their extensions (if both are kept around) they'll be a tax payer for sure.
