Tony Parker's eye injury appears to be serious

Point guard Tony Parker reportedly flew to New York soon to see an eye specialist.

Parker is worried that a left eye injury, which happened during a celebrated nightclub fight, might keep him from playing in the Olympics next month, according to international basketball website Sportando.

The French star had to have surgery after suffering a lacerated left eye. A piece of glass penetrated "99 percent" of the tissue, he said in a Q&A on his blog, adding the Spurs are worried about his long-term career.

Parker sustained the injury early June 15 while attending a party as guests of musicians Chris Brown and Drake. A fight began between the rappers' entourages and reportedly Parker was hit on the eye by a bottle while trying to protect a girl.

Last week, Parker sued the owners of the nightclub for $20 million for allowing the incident to escalate.

"I see a specialist in New York with the hope of obtaining the agreement of competing in the Olympics," Parker wrote on his blog. "The Spurs are very worried. Based on the results, one can imagine that any one package. The decision is no longer mine. It is in the hands of the physician and San Antonio."

Exactly what I was thinking. That !! is out of control sometimes. Sue CB for 10milly and Drake for 10 mill and call it a day!

I worked in eye surgery for a few years and for people to say he a !! and shouldnt sue is wrong, Its so many variables that come into play. he could have a full thickness or partial thickness injury.

We have had people come in with lacerations/scratching of the cornea
and it take up to 5 weeks to never to heal. He could have bubbling of the cornea.
Sensitivity to light, watery eyes from his eye constantly producing tears.
dry eyes the list goes on and on. if it doesnt heal right he might need a
keratoplasty with a corneal graft.

So ask yourself if you was a point guard in the NBA and this could be your
future would you sue? And for the people who keep saying why not sue Chris and Drake trust me when the police figure out who started it, he can amend the lawsuit.

If an injury happens on their property, they are liable.

Just like the burglar who.sued the lady after he fell through her ceiling.

That burglar story is a myth; I forgot the name of the clause, but you can't sue somebody if you're in the act of committing a crime yourself.

the club is responsible for the safety ,so thats an easy call ...the !!s can be added as soon as the police end their investigation
