Yes everybody knows there is no winning for the Magic in having to deal Howard. But Howard has held the organization hostage and will not resign with the Magic once he becomes a free agent. So now, the organization must try to mitigate the loss of Howard by making the best deal that they can to give them the best chance to win in the future.
And I am a Magic fan and I'm glad they didn't sign Anderson to 9M/year. If they weren't going to match the offer sheet by the Hornets, they at least flipped it into a young big guy. Hopefully Ayon pans out to be serviceable. I like what Henigan has done so far.
