I'm biased, but I'd rather get Bynum and have cap flexibility if he leaves (knowing I have his bird rights and can outbid another team by ~$25million) than to rebuild around Brook Lopez, who just isn't that good to begin with (and who's looking for a max contract, supposedly).
finally someone with some well needed knowledge[pic][pic]

Maybe if the Wolves jump in.

What does the Bobcats jumping into the trade have anything to do with keeping him away from the Lakers? !! do we care if he goes to the Lakers for? Not like we'll be playing the Lakers in the finals anytime soon [pic]

Bynum doesn't care. As long as there is a bank around he's fine [pic]

[pic] orlando isn't attracting free agents they haven't been able to even with the second best player in the game

3 first round picks alone are more valuable than one year of Andrew and then he's gone

and you know this how? an orlando sentinel writer spoke with bynum's camp about the rumor of bynum not wanting to resign with orlando, bynum's camp said those rumors are false.

cm on ellz you're smarter than this. orlandomcouldnt attractmanother star because of a horrible FO. all of their money was tied up with horrible contracts.

if Orlando acquired Bynum they'd have his bird rights and would also have the contracts of j rich, he do, and duhom off the books. they can then sign another Max player or some good B grade players.

indy should offer hibbert and granger and 2 first rounders, we'd still have west, george, hill, psycho t and collison, that's definately a championship team plus orlando has a solid team and can still compete with jameer, j rich, granger, big baby and hibbert, that team is good enough for at least a 6th or 7th seed in east

The Nets have been engaged with Lopez’s representatives on a maximum contract extension, and if they feel like the possibility of acquiring Howard is slipping away, they’ll likely move to complete a deal with the restricted free agent in the next few days.
The Magic received medical reports on Lopez on Tuesday morning, and league sources said Orlando officials have concerns about committing four years of near-maximum contract money considering that he broke his foot twice last season and only appeared in five games.

exactly, bynum isn't gonna walk away from an extra 20 mill, especially since he'll be the man of the team and prove haters that he can be the 1st option of a team. plus bynum is from the eastcoast so i'm[..]uming he'd like it there.

if the Lakers get Dwight, that's just[..]. they have no draft picks and the magic should be looking to rebuild because they have absolutely no hope of winning a championship. they didn't have hope of winning a championship with Dwight there. Without involving draft picks, that Bynum trade would be the dumbest move ever. Especially since they don't know if he'd resign...

he's be walking away from 1 extra year and 25 million..not that much considering he'd be stuck on a noncompeting team

he's only 24 years old. He could sign a max 4 year deal and opt out in 3 and sign a max 5 yeard deal at 27...he's not missing out on much
