you say when healthy. when is that? taylor has missed almost 25% of his games in his career. and you are saying that Fred Taylor now is > Maurice Jones-Drew now. i think that 5.7ypc 436 rec. yards and 15tds is > 5.0ypc 242 rec. yards and 6tds. go watch your film and see who stands out more. if you would rather have an injury prone back thats 31 over a rising star you are the dumbass.

Got Cheeve?
in other news... Jon Gruden says this about the jags:

On Jacksonville's running game:

"They've got a heck of back there in Fred Taylor. And the little Drew guy (Maurice Jones-Drew) is not little; he's short, but he's huge. He's a power back for a shorter-sized man. He's really a good player. And Greg Jones is a hammer at fullback, so they do have the ingredient to be a real good rushing team. And (Byron) Leftwich is a guy who can stand in there and make all the throws, so they've got a lot of talent."

On the physical nature of the Jacksonville Jaguars:

"Let's be honest, they have physically taken it to us. Their defense has been more physical than we've been offensively in the last two or three outings. You're not going to find a defense that's more physical than the Jaguars. Baltimore is very physical. There are a lot of physical teams in this league. This team is at the forefront in football at being physical. (Marcus) Stroud and (John) Henderson and they've got two good edge rushers. They all run, and they all hit. We're going to have to play a physical game, and we're looking forward to going up there and playing them."

On if the Jacksonville defensive tackles will provide a good test for Sears:

"Whoever the heck we get in there, they're going to give him a test. It's a great test to play those guys. It's a great amount of fun to prepare for them because they bat ball down, they can reach across the formation. They've got arms that are 70 inches long, it looks like at times. These are real big guys, and we're looking forward to going up to Jacksonville and hopefully playing better than we did the last few times we've seen them."

Sounds like a man who knows about that sleeping beast residing in the champs' division waiting to explode on the scene.

stay tuned ladies n gents.

Also BTW, The guy who said my title didn't make sense, it's because i couldn't add a coma between "Talent Wise, Pro Bowl LB Lofa Tatupu names..."

So I was saying, Tatupu was saying, "Talent Wise, Fred Taylor is the best in the game, Power and Speed"

basically...

If Fred Taylor could've avoided injuries a little more in his career, he would be looking at being considered one of the greats. He caught the Ken Griffey Jr bug

yall are crazy with the injury talk... the dude only missed 8 games in the last 5 seasons

he just had that bad year in 01..... the reason he's less known and appreciated is because he's not playing for a big market team

but as a jags fan, i must say he is easily top 5 in the league right now.... the way he runs is beautiful

but again, im a jags fan

multiple career injuries are what tainted fred taylor's football career and legacy. otherwise he would be mentioned every year as a top-3 running back with multiple pro-bowl selections.

Fred Taylor is the most underrated running back in the League.. im sure a dude who's been playing against running backs his whole life would know more about talent then ESPN analysts and popular opinion..

Yea, I feel dude about the Jags are my team so I'm a bit biased, and the small market does hurt us especially since we don't have many recognizable media monster superstar's on our team such as a T.O. or a Peyton Manning.

Injuries are the only thing that kept Fred Taylor back, because he definitely is a great running back.

yeah plus the Jags were never that great. Put him on a team with a good line he probly is skillwise.

I used to think domanick Davis was one of the best, Saw him in practices and he was so fast and strong, was predicted to get 2,000 yards and everything. But he was on the Texans and has a bunch of injuries, now we dont even know what happened to him.

u can't be serious... remember the tom coughlin era?

brunell, j. smtih, and mccardel?

You must be new to watching football.

Jacksonville sent Dan Marino out of the league the same way Tayshaun Prince sent out Reggie Miller's last shot back at him.

The only thing that hurts Fred Taylor's is the 'Fragile Fred' title and the lack of Pro Bowl selections, but dude is a beast
