Surprise teams (good and bad) |

| By I'm The Dan - 08-05-2012, 04:48 PM - Boxden > BX SportsCenter I was talking about this with my boy the other day. You pick one surprise team from each conference good and bad. A surprise team doesn't have to win the Superbowl or get a top 5 pick... just a team that will surprise people. GOOD: AFC: Bills - I'll catch some !! for this one, but I think the Bills are going to be much better this season. Picking up Mario Williams to play in a 43 scheme and team him up with the rest of that defensive line? They have a nice secondary and added Gilmore as well. Plus, they get Fred Jackson back, who is one of the more underrated running backs in the league. If Fitzpatrick can play decently well, they will go pretty far. I see them easily finishing second in the division with a chance to push the Patriots. NFC: Panthers - I wanted to go with the Bears, but I didn't see that as a huge surprise. I think people expect the Panthers to be good, but I think they're going to be better than some think. There are other teams that I think will better like the Bucs, but I think the Panthers will be the bigger surprise. BAD: AFC: Jets - Defense is getting older. Probably one of the worst receiving cores in football. Greene isn't a very reliable back. Offensive line shaky. Then you have Tebow and Sanchize. They're saying the right things, but once the Jets lose a few games in a row, you'll get Tebow chants and pressure to put Tebow in. Just a bad situation all around. I don't see them making the playoffs with the Pats and Bills in their division. I actually see them picking rather early in the draft next season. NFC: Lions - Hard to pick one here. I could pick the Saints, but I think many expect them to take a step back this season. I chose the Lions because I think they are going to take a step back as well. In a division with the Packers and an improved Bears team, I could see the Lions having some trouble. I purposely tried to stay away from the AFCW because I have bias opinions on it. Post yours. |

| AFC Good: Bills I could have gone with the Chiefs but I think that's a bit more obvious. Everyone is expecting them to have a better year with the return of players like Charles, Moeaki, Berry. The Bills are overshadowed in a division with the Patriots and the media popular Jets but they've[..]embled some nice talent on their team these past few years. Bad: Jets Too much to write on why I think they'll drop out of the playoff race this year. NFC Good: Seahawks, Popular choice since it's really the only logical one. I really like their defense and if they can improve their passing game that will take some of the pressure off Marshawn Lynch. Bad: N/A This one is too tough but if I was forced to pick a team that won't live up to the hype I'll go with the Lions. They have questions at the running back position, corner back position and maturity. | |

| Good AFC - Titans Bad AFC - Jets Good NFC - Carolina Bad NFC - Giants On a side note: Bills are garbage, Mario "Glass" Williams was overpaid for what he will bring to them and they will win 6 games at the most. But i guess it will be a surprise if they win 6 [pic] | |
