So if that !! wasnt Lebrons fault, why the hell is this whole free agency thing and all the coach thing going crazy about him finding help?

I'm not gonna blame Kobe because he tried in the first half to get people involved when I thought he had scoring opportunities but they werent ready to play. So, he was right to take the shots he did in the 2nd half.

I dont know who takes the blame for them being so bad defensively and not getting rebounds. Artest, Pau and Odom need some reality checks

C's played great D on Gasol as well, forcing the pass. Almost every player took dumb shots though.

so now kobe is a seperate entity from his team?...!! outta here.....if the lakers lose kobe loses..just like if the lakers come back and win 2 games at home all this !![..] crying you niccas are doing now to try,and protect kobe will stop.....you certainly wouldn't try to excuse kobe from the lakers winning if he scored a total of 15 points the next 2 games, but they win the ship....

Winning and losing falls on the superstar always. Kobe will accept the loss for this game. Was it his fault this game, no. He did everything he could to win. The rest of the Lakers did not show up this game. People want to talk about the offense, that was not the problem. How is Kobe putting up shots affecting Odom,Gasol, and Artest playing like trash on the defensive end and rebounding in the fourth quarter? The rest of the team did not show up this game plain and simple. Kobe takes the loss because he also takes the credit when the team wins. But this is why Kobe is the MVP and not Gasol. The team's success/failure is on his shoulders. I want L.A. to win. I could care less if Kobe scores 10 points or 40 points. I want the W. We need to take game six now and then anything can happen in game seven. People are getting way too excited over a 3-2 lead with the final two games in LA.

if we won tonight, the bad defense is void. nothing else would matter, but the win

exactly....defense is played as a team, not as an individual...the same way you WIN as a team, and not an individual...thus.....

kobe takes it on the chin the same as his squad...

not necessarily. If you win then there's no need for a reason(unless you have another game) because you won and nothing else would matter. When you lose there are reasons why and as a team you figure them out and adjust accordingly. The team knows the reason(s) for every loss. This doesn't mean one is exempt because he played well, only because however in a team game, one bad piece can ruin the puzzle.

In layman's terms, nobody is exempting Kobe like he isn't a Laker; we are merely identifying a reason for the loss. Kobe is not a reason.

he roamed alot, but yeh da team played bad defense, but I was thinking of da horrible shooting when I made my post. 38 points, 5 rebs, 4[..]ists, 1 block, 1 steal doesn't warrant as much hate as the other statlines.

anyways it doesn't matter if Kobe went 25-25.... a loss is a loss

One little fun fact for people saying Kobe shot the ball too much, even though it was a high percentage [pic]. Jordan (aka the GOAT) averaged 25.1 FGA per game in his six playoff runs. If your team is slacking you are supposed to carry the team on your back as the star player. Anything less means you do not deserve to be the star of the team. I still do not understand how people can even put any of this on the offensive side of the ball. It is clear as day that the Lakers' !!ty defense and rebounding cost them the loss. This loss has nothing to do with offense and everything to do with defense. I hope Kobe can somehow get his team together and put up a good show on defense in game six.

When was it not the best player's fault when his team, WHO IS FAVORED TO WIN..... loses (in the Finals)?
