		*Sergio Martinez "sure" a 2012 Floyd Mayweather clash will happen* by The Boxing Truth Oct 17, 2011 - The rumor mill regarding a potential Floyd Mayweather - Sergio Martinez fight has been buzzing for about one week, but not Martinez himself has commented on the probability of the fight taking place. During an audio interview with Spanish media outlet Cadena SER, the middleweight champion made very specific comments regarding the speculated Mayweather fight. 12:52 to 13:07 of audio interview Dialogue: (Radio Host) : Well Sergio we’re going to be waiting on the negotations for... for... this guy I can’t remember his name. (Co-host chimes in): Mayweather. (Sergio Martinez): All you have to do is wait a few weeks and I’m sure... I’m sure that it’ll happen, I’m sure of it. In 2012 it happens. Martinez also conceded that Manny Pacquiao is the #1 fighter in the world, and he would be willing to fight the Filipino sensation at 68 kilos (roughly 150 pounds). “One morning I woke up and I weight 150 pounds,” said Martinez. “From then I told everyone I could fight Mayweather and Pacquiao at lower fights.” A promotional career is also in the works for Martinez. “I am going to have my own gym, logo, and company,” said Martinez. “I am going to study boxers, and help them avoid the difficult path I took to success. They will work hard, but so will I.” Martinez also mentioned he was working on a reality show and his life will be the subject of a movie.

If it's at 160, nothing. Anything below that and they'll have plenty to say. Should be a good fight anywhere between 154-160 though.

Doubt it happens but if it does props to money...although I think he'll box circles around Martinez atleast it isn't the normal bum or washed up fighter

I'm interested to see what's said from the people that was knocking manny for trying to get this fight saying pac is a !! and Martinez would be weight drained...same standard for Floyd or was yall just hating?

Sure he can. He can win it at 154 if he takes the weight off properly too. It's well above Floyd's walking around weight.

Mayweather would have no problems at all at 154lbs.. And a Sergio is a boxer, styles make fights and another boxer will never beat Mayweather.. You can't out think the smartest boxer in the sport.
