49er fan here and yeah that !! is definitely legal. When I saw it live in real time it looked helmet to helmet but that was a clean hit to me.


I think what the NFL needs to do is throw a flag if they think they see a helmet to helmet live action wise, but officially review it and see if it's a legal hit and if it is without the helmet to helmet then takeaway the flag if it is legal and clean.

Legality
