nah whatever team gets 5 is going to extend him and if you are the rams and giving up the the 33rd pick and atogwe why wouldnt you. and 5 also has a no trade clause but i can see him possibly waiving it because of spags and his old qb coach is in st. louis and they are still close

this has nothing to do with the fans and it has nothing to do with mcnabb really. fact of the matter is that this team is going forward with kolb...period, them trading 5 is nothing more then trying to get value for him before they let him walk which they will at the end of the season...everything you said is irrelevant to the situation at hand.

Earlier in the day, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that the Eagles "have an offer on the table" from the Rams for quarterback Donovan McNabb, and that a trade could happen quickly.

We heard from a Rams source that there is "zero truth" to the report.

As Rosenthal pointed out, someone was full of something that often gets confused with shinola.

Per Bernie Miklasz of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Rams G.M. Billy Devaney says that report of a trade is "[a]bsolutely false" and "utterly ridiculous."

Howard Eskin of WIP echoes that report, citing an unnamed high-ranking Rams official who said that the Rams have never even spoken to the Eagles about McNabb.

our d coordinator passed away (rip JJ), and its not about 5 being the issue...no one is saying that he is. but they are going to let him walk at the end of the season, 5 was asking for an extension last year and management said !! you face and take more money instead. you minus well get value for him before you just let him walk for absolutely nothing.

and as for kolb, fact of the matter is that they spent a 2nd round pick on this guy and with one year left on his contract you still dont really know what you got. but he is the guy they want to go forward with and the team is rebuilding anyway, so why not start him. and he has shown flashes that he can be a solid qb and if he isnt you can draft one in the next year's draft

and i rather have them go the kolb direction now and have a starting safety and the 1st pick of the second round then have 5 here for one more year and walk
