TEBOW REJECTS NFL

Ok, he didn’t reject the entire league, just the league’s invitation to attend the NFL Draft next Thursday night (April 22) in New York City. Tebow was one of a number of players who decided to skip the pomp and circumstance of draft night.
No reasons have been given for the turn down, but one has to think it had something to do with the unpredictability of where Gator sensation Tim Tebow is likely to be selected.

In all, only 16 players will be at Radio City Music Hall on draft night, which is one half of the number of selections in the first round. The draft continues Friday night with rounds two and three with the remainder of the selections on Saturday. The new format is designed to maximize television viewership, and in so doing, revenues. It also adds two layers of drama with the extended breaks between rounds one and two and rounds three and four.

Joe Haden will be the only Gator taking part in the draft activities, while Oklahoma’s Sam Bradford will be the lone QB in the Big Apple. Two other SEC players will join Haden in New York and both are Tennessee Volunteers. Safety Eric Berry, projected by most to be a top five selection will be there along with DT Dan Williams. He’s viewed as a 12-18 range pick with the Miami Dolphins reportedly among those extremely interested in acquiring his services.

Here are the rest of the players that will be there for their big moment.

Ndamukong Suh Defensive Tackle Nebraska
Gerald McCoy Defensive Tackle Oklahoma
Lemarr Houston Defensive Tackle Texas
Jadred Odrick Defensive Tackle Penn State
Russell Okung Offensive Tackle Oklahoma State
Trent Williams Offensive Tackle Oklahoma
Brian Bulaga Offensive Tackle Iowa
C.J. Spiller Running Back Clemson
Jahvid Best Running Back California
Brandon Ghee Cornerback Wake Forest
Demaryius Thomas Wide Receiver Georgia Tech
Derrick Morgan Defensive End Georgia Tech

I'm pretty sure he'll be drafted within the first two rounds. Some team will take that risk.

@mortreport
NFL has told all invitees, including Clausen & Tebow, there is a room this year without cameras. #ESPNDraft

@mortreport
I have checked with everyone who should know - Tebow has not rejected NFL invite yet. May happen, but not yet. #ESPNDraft

Probably not really since he's expected to go high. I mean he got invited, he's good though. He would've put up better numbers in college w/ an actual QB.

The NFL obviously is wanting them there. First they send Tebow an invite, now they're telling him that there's a room with no cameras. Don't understand the Tebow hate. He's never done anything but run people over and not shy down from his beliefs. . He did more than most have ever done in college, I'm lost. This coming from a die hard FSU fan.
