Should've waited till seasons end to give Beckett that extension, now he's got nothing to go hard for now. DFA Ortiz and eat the contract, play Lowell and V-Mart at DH so Varitek can catch more (does he lead their team in HR's). Sox really blew it by not bringing back Bay (even tho he's been garbage for the Mets). Everyone and their momma knew Cameron wasn't the answer. The Rays are legit again so the Sox need to step it up I'd rather play them then that hungry Tampa team again.

Then make V-Mart the fulltime DH and let Tek catch or rotate Hall/Hermida in there. Running Ortiz out there everyday in a prime spot of the lineup is just nuts at this stage of the game.

Bench Ortiz, put Tek in until he's not hot. Martinez at DH. Hermida, Cameron and Ellsbury in the outfield call it a day.

Manny's a FA at the end of the season and Boston has an open DH spot. They both need to reconcile their differences.

Shut up !!. Until 08 that rivalry meant nothing. The Rays would get beat down yearly by the Red Sox and Devil Rays fan, unlike me, were non existent. I was there when your[..] was probably rooting for the Braves instead of going to Devil Rays games. I was there when it was 5000 fans in the stand. Now shut the !! up and go act like the rest of Tampa fans and talk !! when they're winning, but be non existent at the end of the year if they're losing.

And for the record Tampa fans are the worst fans in sports. They never stick with their team and are quick to hop off the bandwagon when they start losing. Look at the Bucs, Lightning and Rays fans for proof of this. It's sad.

I don't root for either. Them playing each other usually happens about 20 times a year. There's a 162 games. Like I said before when they were the Devil Rays there was no rivalry and it meant nothing because they weren't good enough to beat Boston. I can't tell you how many Yankee/Ray fans there are down here. I'll take me liking two teams in the same division over someone who likes a team in a state they have never been to, never seen and have no family in.
