It's possible, but the reason isn't solely because of what he's doing now. He's had a great two months. When looked at in a larger context, it isn't that big of a deal. Also, because it's the first two months, it's getting more coverage.

it's probably a combination of batting in the phillies lineup and playing in cbp and the fact that he just hit his peak at 37. ( weird most players hit their peak at 27 )

he is streaky and going from seattle where he consistently hit 30 hr a year (not a hitters park at all) to a homerun friendly park in the n.l. i cant say i am surprised at what he is doing but he will hit a slump soon for a month or so. trust me

he hit 2 vs the yankees this al nl bs is blown so outta proportion.

If Ibanez is on steroids what about joe Mauer who is on pace for more hrs than ibanez and started the season late
