put it like this if a team have the ball on they own 5 yard line and gets a couple of first downs and get the ball to the 30-35 yard line and they have to punt...thats not a successful drive?
Yeah, that would be a successful drive. Except the Giants didn't have the ball on their own 5... they had it on their own 21. Got to the Jags 40, and had to punt. They gained 39 yards. You can call that a success I guess, but I'd call that an average, meehh drive. But whatever man, that's just my opinion, you're entitled to your own as well. Agree to disagree I guess.

Yep, only 1 of those sacks was against the starters though (but to the Giants credit it was a sack/fumble which is great.) That was Tracey right? I know JPP recovered it. As far as the muffed punts? Did you see how high those punts went? Those boys lost the ball in the lights. All thanks to one 3rd round drafted punter Bryan "Banger" Anger.

Dude's laughed when the Jags drafted the punter, already two turnovers linked to his heaven breaching punts. So glorious. Banger can !! my girl all he wants. WEAPON.

for they first preseason game eli looked sharp so its a success for me they picked up some key first downs other then that 1 throw that was behind the wr(i believe it was attended for cruz)

giants didnt get aggressive until the starters went out thats probably a reason only one sack was with the starters in the game.i doubt they lost the fumble in the lights they just straight muffed the punts

On that throw to Cruz, that was on Cruz. He saw #26 Landry gunning for his head and pulled up. You could tell because Cruz was upset with himself after it, and continued to display that on the bench. Not a bad throw by Eli. Fair enough though, Eli was Eli. I thought the starters played about even for both sides which is a win for the Jags IMO considering the Jags were 5-11 last year and the Giants were Super Bowl Champs.

Jags offensive line has no depth, that's why they got the sacks once the starters went out. The Jags' offense line was so thin (they have injuries) they switched a DT over to OG for this game. That should tell you all you need about the quality of OL the Giants backups were facing.

As far as the muffs, they were muffs, but the punter Anger has made a career of this since college. He continually punts balls that get muffed by returners. You can put it all on the returner, but at the same time, it happens regularly with the same punter so you have to credit him on that too. He punts the ball higher and longer than any punter I've seen recently. He's also an expert at rotation of the ball. He can kick it a certain way to make it rotate at an awkward rate to produce muffs, as well as to make it pop back if he nails it to the 1-2 yard line and make it spin back so the coverage unit can down it inside the 5.

Solid game for both teams, did Giants get any serious injuries? Only one for the Jags' was our best corner getting hurt on the first play of the Giants' first drive (in which after Eli completed passes against the backup.) So the Jags' actually didn't even play with their starting CBs tonight. Our best corner got hurt on the first play (a running play by NYG), and Mathis didn't play and Ross started in his place. Cox (our best corner) only had a strained calf though apparently, which isn't serious but they felt no need to put him back out there.

Impressive Tonight:

David Wilson - (STAR in the making!!! Holy fukk I'm excited [pic] )

Martellus Bennett - (That TD Catch was high & behind him and he still snatched that !!... Caught everything thrown his way... And his run blocking was GREAT... The most talented and athletically gifted TE we've had since Shockey... Pope has worked his magic)

Rueben Randle - (minimal opportunities and still had a great catch on a low pass for 20+ and then a perfect form go up and get it red zone TD)

JPP - (That play where he pushed the Left Tackle out of the way and tackled the RB 4 yards Deep in the backfield like literally .04 seconds after the ball was snapped almost gave me wood [pic]... This kid is unreal... And obviously the Fumble Recovery)

Jayron Hosley - (Besides the muffed Punt Return he looked very good... The one sideline to sideline Return... The Sack... Etc)

Hendricks - (With all the DLine Depth we have it seems impossible that we'll have room to keep him... But if he keeps playing like that, he's not going anywhere)

Will Hill - (Didn't do anything great tonight, but did a lot of this relatively well... He's our #3 Saftey)

Dissapointed:

Every Back Up O-Lineman on the fukking team

The Replacement Refs [pic]

Paul Dottino & Carl Banks Calling the Game... Brutal

Prince... But he made up for it with the Forced Fumble... He ripped that !! like a animal

The MY9 Coverage... No Replays... Missing Entire Plays... Interviewing Tuck when Wilson finally gets in the game.

im not talking about the cruz play where he !!ed up at expecting to be hit,it was a 3rd down throw that eli threw behind cruz on the 1st drive.thats was his only bad throw of the night.giants didnt have any injuries but was missing about 11 players canty(starting DT) and bernard didnt play terell thomas(starting corner),boley(starting linebacker),j williams.
offense:nicks and hixon at wide reciever and i know im missing a few others who didnt play
