Nets fire Avery Johnson

he was a decent guy... but damn he didn't have enough time to get all his guys to fit.... take it from us... we had larry brown and spent loads of money but the players have to be compatible or no coaching will change that

he's had years to do something - anything. he lead them to the worst record in the league. sure, their roster was a joke but still...he had the same problems in dallas. are we all of a sudden forgetting how he had a 1st seeded dallas team LOSE to the 8th seed warriors? are people forgetting how he was coached circles around in that series? don nelson forced dirk into uncomfortable positions on the floor and avery made ZERO adjustments. and then the next year, he gets booted out of the first round AGAIN.

he had devin harris and micromanaged him and ran an iso heavy offense which is easy to coach against. harris looked awful under him..so they traded him for old[..] kidd. and avery tried turning jkidd into an iso player as well and the offense was awful too..

in jersey, he's making deron williams into an iso player and everybody is standing around. deron is being forced into running pick n rolls with lopez and evans [pic] that's neither of their games. avery !!s the bed at making any adjustments. they're better off looking for a coach that's a lot more creative on offense because they have a lot of versatile players out there. whether you like the nets or not, you have to admit that brook lopez, deron williams, joe johnson and even gerald wallace are match up nightmares for opposing players.
