Chad Henne is getting schooled by Blaine Gabbert in training camp and even more so tonight in the Jags' scrimmage (which was live, tackling, hits, all that.) Gabbert finished 10/13 for 91 yards and a TD in 2 drives (he went 7-10 for 53 yards and a TD against the first team defense, 3-3 for 38 yds against second team.) Henne finished 3/7 25 yards and threw a pick 6 INT in 3 or 4 drives (all against second team defense.) When they ran Red-Zone drills, Gabbert led the team to 5 straight TDs in the Red-Zone (something he was horrible at last year, including last year's scrimmage when he played against 2nd and 3rd team defense instead of first team like this year.) He had 3 TDs in the Red-Zone, had Rashad Jennings had 2 TDs running.
Henne is rated higher than Gabbert in Madden too

Obviously they're going off of last year, and Gabbert was trash last year so I understand, but y'all are going to be surprised when he's not trash this year. The kid looks like the game slowed down for him (which is why people thought he played scared, the game was simply too fast for him, as it is for 90% of all NFL rookies.) He's got new mechanics, better balance in the pocket, poised, staying in the pocket and delivering strikes. He's improved definitely. Not to mention the Jags actually have better WRs now, and they've yet to get Blackmon in camp so he'll add even more.
Oh yeah, Rashad Jennings (MJD's backup, who's getting starter playing time right now), was a beast. He had 4 carries for 20 yards (5.0 avg), and 3 catches for 37 yards (12.3 avg) on first two drives alone. In Red-Zone drills he scored 2 TDs, and added more yards but I didn't keep track of his yards on those since it was situational drills. People think the Jags are screwed without MJD, but they have four RBs in Jennings, Parmele, Harris, and Owens who all impressed in the scrimmage and have played in the regular season with some success as well. Jags will surprise a lot of people, I see posters on here saying they're going to go 2-14 and !!
[pic] Even if the offense is garbage like last year they still won't go 2-14, they play the Colts twice a year, and their defense was ranked 6th last year and won them 5 games, it's even better this year with more parts and healthier, so no way they lose 14 games, I can see the possibility of them going 6-10 at worst though.
Y'all better watch out in Minny Week 1
