Neither was the struggle for women getting the right to vote

All of these basic human rights issues are related. Its just !!ing retarded that groups that were previously discriminated against are now one of the biggest opponents of another group attempting to fight for their own rights.

exactly.

People treat other group's civil rights like men and women's orgasms during secks.

I'm somewhat involved in the glbtq community, and given the diversity of the community, that seems way off, I haven't heard any racist stuff said.

It's not comparing, it's common ground because it's a civil rights issue, same laws That would've prevented me from being married, now prevent my sister.

I think the main issue is most people view homosecksuality as a choice so they have no sympathy for them having to deal with the consequences of their choices.

And some view it as being genetic, like being left handed. and even if it was a choice, lets not act like most Christians aren't breaking so many rules in the bible but wanna single out gays. And people in general arent perferct but wanna worry about gays minding their own buisness. I ve see a lot of !!ed up things in this world, and gays have caused none of that !!, but this is one of the biggest issues

It could be genetic. It could be a choice. Nobody knows. All we know is that you can't choose your race or your gender. Yea, nobody is perfect but don't single out Christians for not like gay marriage. I pretty sure the majority of religions are opposed to gay marriage. It is what it is.

And how are gays minding their own business by staging kiss in at Chick Fil A? So having pride parades every week, being flamboyant, and loud is minding your own business? Let's not act like gay ppl aren't overzealous with trying to force their lifestyles on people now. Democrats are putting same-secks marriage on their platform now so it'll all be over soon.

If you gave them the right to legally marry and treated them like humans, maybe they wouldnt feel the need to show out. Obviously the opressor wont change so the opressed have to keep fighting.

Whatever happened to Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness? We fight for Freedom across the world and dont have it in our own country.

And save the pushing lifestyles thing. If you aren't a Christian or blindly patriotic you might as well be an outcast.

They have life and liberty. Happiness is not guaranteed, that's why it's called a pursuit. Marriage is an institution rooted in religion in most countries, so yes people have a problem with it. Gay people just have to accept that tolerance goes both ways. It's ok if people don't agree with your lifestyle.

Even if you consider it a choice it is still wrong to discriminate against them for their lifestyle choice.

Being in an interracial relationship would be a choice as well wouldn't it? That used to be illegal as well [pic]

Most religions define marriage between a man and a woman, not a man and a woman of the same race.

I don't care if gay ppl get married. They deserve a right to be miserable too [pic]

But marriage isn't a religious institution though. They're not asking churches to mary them, they can just head down to City Hall and pick up their licenses right there.
