Not Moving Pau or Bynum: The Los Angeles Lakers landed Steve Nash, and are still talking with the Orlando Magic about Dwight Howard, but beyond that the Lakers are saying – in fact told Steve Nash – that they were not looking at any core changes to the roster. Meaning Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum are not likely going anywhere. Beyond landing Howard, which sources label a long-shot, the Lakers don’t seem overly engaged on anything major involving a trade.

The Lakers had substantial talks with Michael Beasley, which would have been a sign-and-trade deal using their traded-player exception, but once Nash became an option the Lakers turned to that deal and Beasley turned to the Suns.

The Lakers are talking with Rashard Lewis and Grant Hill according to sources, but both would have to agree to low-dollar deals to be a Laker and they are said to be weighing their options.

The Lakers still hold the Bird Rights on Ramon Sessions and sources say they would be willing to do a sign-and-trade with Sessions if it helped them add another piece to their roster.

that's still good for the lakers. two big men as skilled as them would be hard to replace

yeah he's def not going to the nets. at least not this yr. and this ATL thing is still a possibility. He said he was only going to one team before all those moves happened, he's gotta be thinking about the prospect of playing for his hometown, and with CP3.

Clippers are not trading Blake Griffin for Dwight Howard. Orlando keeps losing day by day because they are losing suitors day by day. Hawks might be their best shot if the Hawks say no to renting they're screwed

yall are all buggin' thinking Dwight aint going to the Nets this year, & soon. What team in their right mind is gonna rent him. He's made it clear He'S ONLY SIGNING W/ BROOKLYN. That's going to scare the !! outta any other team & force Orlando's hand.

No reason to trade either one of them, especially now.

only AB for Dwight if that's still on the table, and getting somebody like J-Rich in return too. I'd still do that deal.

Watching yall try to play predictors with this Dwight Howard trade is more entertaining then watching Dwight Howard on the court[pic]

no. He said he's only Re-Signing with Brooklyn. He has no leverage to make the trade happen, and why would you willfull trade the man that destroyed your organization to where he wants to go? If he doesn't like where he's traded to, then he doesn't have to play for the upcoming yr. but he cannot stop a trade to anywhere, he's on contract still for one more yr.

EDIT: sign/resign, same thing, I take that L

However, teams are willing to rent him, the rockets just were asking for him openly.

fine. let me rephrase. "He's not being traded to the Nets by the Magic for the final yr of his contract.."

It's going to be difficult to make that work anyway, even though it's possible. I'm hearing that will send you into the luxury tax no matter what for this yr tho.

uproot the whole team and leave it in the hands of Mike Brown:kobeyikes:

We undervalue the impact of that Gasol/Bynum combo on offense, they work really well together and create an advantage for the Lakers that no other team has. Now you add the truest (next to Rondo) of pure point guards to that offense, oh boi! While Dwight is a defensive upgrade, i think Lakers management see Bynum as a lifetime Laker i dont see them making the trade.

Every other team in the league traded their star players where they wanted to go besides Orlando[pic]. Straight disrespect

Suns traded Nash to a damn rival

they told dwight he would be traded if he didn't opt in, so why did he opt in? if the nets had the money to get Joe johnson, AND wallace to 40 mill, the Magic may have done the deal just to get it over with. you could have had him already, with the things you're willing to give up now there would have been enough room for him and deron at the deadline, and maybe both players would take less money like the Heat members did if the Front Office sat both of them down and discussed possible player moves. Dwight !!ed yall up bad.
