to tell you the truth, kobe isn't playing like he played last year..he would get everyone involved and let the game come to him. This year he is trying to force the issue for some reason and isn't using his weapons like he normally does. I say this because I watch pretty much every laker game that comes on and judging from both years, he isn't playing like he wants everyone to get involved. It's not all of his fault because the lakers as a whole come out sluggish sometimes and then he tries to bring them back but that isn't what he did last year, he had trust and he needs to start trusting again and the lakers as a team will start blowing people away and defend their chip.

funny how niggas wasnt sayin this at the beginnin of the year when they was smashin teams with kobe healthy. now that he got injured and hurt the team in some ways tryna play superman on the court, niggas wishy washy. He smartened up and took a rest. If he come back healthy and they start losin again, they yall can talk. But this is only 2 games...

Odom does a great job leading this team. Artest still has awful shot selection, nigga is the only one who still chucks & shoots without a conscious even when Kobe is in tho

Sems like they are ballin with a lot more freedom but you cant fully blame Kobe that they stay pus*y footing when hes on the floor.

this game proves how good these guys can actually be and how much depth the Lakers have on their bench, but guys like Sasha and Luke are so inconsistent in all the wrong times they need to be stepping up, but if they can play like this without Kobe, they can tone his minutes down going into the post season, especially if they seal the #1 spot early

what in the hell are they going to do with Adam Morrison, he is just rotting at the end of the bench, wasting cap space

Morrison is the only reason that Shannon Brown is over there realistically so in a way he helped them find an undercover gem. Niggas were talking about maybe Morrison can revive himself in LA, Brown was basically just a throw in.

after watching this game, i'm convinced the lakers should sit kobe for the rest of the year. it'd be a shame if he came back and they had to endure the pain of another championship

Kobe injured held the team back more than it helped at times. Also at times LA shows so much depth that they dont know wtf to do with themselves. Kobe goes down and people fill into roles easy. There still better with Kobe healthy.

nah I don't see Morrison breaking out anytime soon, especially with majority of the teams signed through 2013, and he is not goo trade bait either, so i don't see his purpose really, besides what you explained

Yup.

The Lakers rely on Kobe waaayyy too much, anytime the game starts to go south everyone looks scared and just gives it to Kobe and stands around waiting for him to do something amazing.

Now that they know Kobe isn't there to bail them out they're playin with confidence and stepping it up on both ends and it's great to see.

Interesting stat for the haters: Kobe actually leads the team in assists by a comfortable margin

lmao @ niggaz saying "they're scared" to play to their full potential NO, they don't get the oppertunity to get in a great rhythm lately with kobe at the helm. they are built to play great team ball,not kobe trynna go one on one and play hero all the time but enough of that,lakers looked great,gasol played his ass off. lakers were fun to watch tonight
