Kobe Bryant Lashes Out At Teammates.

Kobe Bryant gutted out a 31-point performance in a 113-96 Game 6 loss to the Nuggets on Thursday despite playing while ill. Kobe had a stomach issue that forced him to take two bags of IV fluids before the game and two more at halftime. He played well enough for the Lakers, but his teammates were lacking. He pointed that out after the game.

Asked whether he felt his teammates had matched his heart, Bryant said, “No, of course they didn’t.”

“We didn’t step up and meet [the Nuggets'] energy,” Bryant said, meaning Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol when he said “we.” “They know that. I expect them to come out Game 7, and play with a sense of urgency and a sense of desperation that wasn’t there the last two games.”

Gasol went 1-10 for a paltry 3 points and 3 rebounds in 29 minutes. Bynum had 11 and 16 in 30 minutes. Bryant is looking forward to having Metta World Peace, who returns from a seven-game suspension for elbowing James Harden, back in Game 7 of the series.

“He’s the one guy I can rely on night in and night out to compete and play hard and play with that sense of urgency, play with no fear,” Bryant said. “I’m looking forward to having that on my side again.”

Why alienate your teammates before a cruical game 7 tho? I know they played horribly and like !!, but to throw the whole team except mwp under the bus at this moment, that may not end well. I'm not knocking Kobe for speaking his mind but keep that !! in the locker room and chew them out in private. You already know Bynum's baby[..] and Pau's emotional[..] won't handle this well... this team seems to be imploding [pic]

Yall aint shocked right now though? nicca never in my life did I ever expect Kobe to come out and say something so positive and !! about Ron Artest.


I think that goes to show that when niccas show you what real is...you gotta respect it even if you dont like em...cause 3-4 years ago him and Ron wanted to choke each other out....Now hes saying Ron is the only person he can depend on in LA.

no reason why Gasol and Bynum shouldnt have their[..] PERMANENTLY in the paint. on the strength of that alone these !!ers should have 20-25 free throw attempts from all of the fouls they would draw.

Ron did work in the gettin the ship vs boston so I understand why he'd say that. Even though he stunk it up for 3/4 of the season i think he'll play a HUGE role in game 7.
