there make up as a team I feel is better for an up and coming team
like I feel that they hv put together a group that should mesh easily

And lin didnt do the same? They played in he same system, but Amare was the number one option. When Melo came, Amare wasnt the Number one option, even with felton still there. Lin got Tyson Novak and Landry cooking, when Melo wasn't playing, what's your point?

And you just said my point for me. Lin did do the same, but there's nothing he can do that Felton can't (besides get the Asian fanbase).

Why pay Lin more if they're the same (Felton plays better D btw).

Pay them both then. We don't even know if Felton is in shape. And I hope a veteran would play better D than am rookie who has never had NBA level defensive minded traning for long periods of time. And I know he didn't play with melo, exactly why you can't count on felton to keep his production up when the whole team dynamic changes

And forget the fanbase, and the ticket sales. We lose no money by retaining him until the third yr, after all the scrub players we just were able to trade. You mean to tell me we cant trade him before that third yr if he doesnt play well enough? Is two years of st@bility not enough to see what he's really about?
